If you want an alphabetical sort of artists or albms songs all you have to do is click anywhere in the Title box from any view (Icon, Expanded Tile, or Details) There is nothing in the Help area or anywhere else that I can see that shows how to do this. My personal experience with the Vista version (running on a Dell 1705 laptop with 2GB RAM, C2D 2 Ghz, and a 7200 RPM hard drive) has been very disappointing. Every song I play "skips", whether on CD or on the local hard drive. Look and feel of it is okay, and the controls are easy to work. But then, when have the controls of ANY version of WMP been difficult to work? A passable product for me, IF IT WORKED PROPERLY. |

(some of us don't use xp and its backdoor services)
if someone knows of a version of wmp 10 or 11 that will actually install and run on win2k, let me know!

Has a new style, dosn't take up as much ram and cpu. Its just perfect.

A big drawback for me is that it doesn't delete the file that you're playing from the playlist from the hdd when deleted with "shift" pressed and doesn't resume next element in the queue if you delete the one you're playing from the playlist. Yeah sounds like a lot of blah blah - but it was a very useful function for me to sort audio and video materials... Design I kind of like. |
