The professinal version is shareware and you can not trim frames from the movies. If you want to edit any video, use VitrualDub. That is the best.

Unfortunately - a nice looking program that does not work with an .AVI file from a Canon digital camera - I've not tried any other files as this is the only type of file I wanted to handle. The user ionterface is a bit confusing - after you have defined the part you want to extract (eay enough) it is not obvious which button to press to actually trim and save the part to be extracted.

Simple, fast, free and can handle vbr audio without long recompressing. A good tool for trimming avi files.
