|
| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | i tested the software -even got the registered copy from the vendor
But the software does not work
I tried to spilt a large vob file without conversion to any format just wanted it to cut from the start and end points specified
It cut the file - but the colours were oversaturated making the file 'cutted' useless - i tried all possible formats even choosing good quality vbr encode - same result
USELESS SOFTWARE - WASTED $9.9 OF MINE ON IT
warning you guys stay away unless you have $9.9 to waste

| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | Tested this software. Although IBN say it will run on WIn98, it crashes and locks up the system after opening a vob file.
XP does not crash, but, the mark Start & End marker points are ignored and the split file trims some 10 seconds from both the start and end markers, making this program useless.
Saving to MPEG 1 & 2 formats does not activate the bitrate window, so all files are saved at 1140kbps, which delivers terrible results. (heavily pixelated) Normal bitrate should be 6000kbps for good picture quality.
Other formats not tested. The fact that the software cuts the selected video at points other than the selected ones was enough to stop using it.
Functions missing: If you select video from a vob file which spans 2 vob files, the software seamlessly plays the 2nd file. but ignores the End marker completely.
Video extraction (from a DVD vob file) is rather slow - too slow in fact. A 1 minute file takes in excess of one minute to capture.
At this point I cannot recommend this program. It has a nice clean interface and seems simple enough to use, but this is overshadowed by poor performance. |
