product does not save channels from the autoscan and the product does not allow you to use the epg part of the program. this product does not work with vista. i have put in 30 hours to make it work with a basic scan, but after you close the product you have to re-autoscan again.

This is a very good software for your TV tuner card.

It worked fine with my Hauppauge tv card.

It does timeshifting.
It can record on demand as well as record on schedule. The scheduling is very easy. A lot easier than a physical VCR.

I found that it often "forgot" all the defined channels found by autoprogramming it. I would try to change channels and nothing would happen. It would stick to the channel that was left on by the Hauppauge software. Basically I had to autoprogram the channels all over again. It happened at least 3 times. VERY weird.

It feels a lot like WinDVD, especially since it is from Intervideo.

Im not sure if it was my card, but when I recorded video, the audio had a very high pitch ringing to it.
I havent recorded with the hauppauge software to see if its a hardware drawback (it was only a $20 card or something cheap).

I havent tried ChrisTV, but the lite version of ChrisTV is free.
