They have got to be joking.
This software is rated very highly. 9 people gave it a top score of excellent. So why is this software isn't excellent?
It's not even very good. Heck, its downright awful!
My usual criteria for rating something as poor is either a) it crashes my system repeatedly, or b) it doesn't do what it says it does and doesn't do other useful things.
This software basically does what it says it will do, and it didn't crash my system. So what is up with that "poor" rating?
Well, firstly is "viewing" of pictures: the application doesn't keep the aspect ratio or the original photo. So unless all of your photos are square, it will distort them one way or the other. As if that weren't bad enough (and its pretty bad) the application allows you no effective way to manage your images, no effective way to figure out what your viewing before you view it and not control over the applications functionality. It does what it wants, when it wants, the way it wants.
But what really put the "icing on the cake" (or "floater" in the pool, if you know what I mean) is the Software author. This outfit has an odd affection for creating spyware infected applications. So while this particular creation seems devoid of spyware, it is "guilty by association."
I can only guess the 9 individuals that rated this a 5 were either: a) the author and 8 friends, or b) the author logging in from 9 different computers.
You could do worse than this software, but you'd really have to work at it. |
