I've been looking a long time for an application like this.
Media Purveyor catalogs your multimedia files. Unlike 95% of the programmers out there, when I say "multimedia" I'm not talking strictly about MP3s. I'm talking about "multi"ple kinds of "media". Sure, I have MP3s, and there are TONS of good MP3 catalogers out there. I also have pictures, and there are some good catalogers for them too. I aso have video files. Now things get a little sketchy. There's a few "video" catalogging utilties, but most are designed with the notion that you want to catalog your videos like VCR tapes or DVD disks, not you online multimedia video files.
So Media Purveyor will cataog your pictures and all that other stuff too. But what makes it shine like a bright beacon of accomplishment in a dismal sea of dank mediocrity is its ability to catalog video. That alone would make it worth the "price of admission." But on top of that you get an excellent metadata editor to boot. As if this wasn't enough to cause the average person to faint from shear anticipation and excitement, the darn thing is FREE.
