As a proud CorelDRAW user since version 4 for windows 3.11 I can say that the latest version X4 is a diamond.
The tools are pure treasure and there is no need to compare with AI. If you can imagine your art work - Corel is there to let you do it with ease. I am sure that you know what I am talking about.

| | GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | | Corel users around the world must be wondering... is this the CorelDraw version the one to put it back on the Graphic Arts map? Well, yes and no. It is a very very good version indeed, stable and polished. All the tools are refined, and some redefined. But it is not trying to compete with Illustrator any more. This is good because Adobe's Illustrator is a self-centered application that goes it's own strange way. However there is not much in CD14 to lure new designers that learned Illustrator in their design schools as their only option. And it's a shame. One is led to believe that a much bolder move would be in needed in order. But as it is, Corel users should be happy because they once again have a tool to be proud of. |
