Firewall takes over 5 minutes to load during start up, can't use the computer till it's finished. First time SM7 firewall was installed it blocked 154threats, but the log shows no other threats blocked in 10 days. Hey, the firewall even blocked SM7 from updating it's self, cool. Several times couldn't get on the Internet, had to use another computer in the house. Took over nine hours and only half way defrag hard drive; I use to defrag weekly taking only 15 mins with Windows defragger. Had to disable Active Care, when it ran any programs, browsers would freeze up, had to reboot. Active Care has an option to only run when the computer isn't being used, but it runs anyhow, and jams up the computer. Printer won't print anymore, don't know why. If I use PC Accelerator, it hangs, have to reboot computer. System Analysis shows same problem, no matter if it fixes it, and the computer is restarted. Some programs now take longer to launch. Sometimes SM7 won't launch when I click on the desktop icon, but will hog all the CPU, have to reboot. I had SM6, the anti virus blocked all my email so I uninstalled it. Somehow iolo has me on a "auto renew subscription," and snagged $39.95 from my bank. Cannot get a refund. I cannot find on line anywhere on "My Account" to get out of this, I am waiting a response from Customer Service. Since I already paid for another years subscription, I found SM6 had an upgrade to SM7, so foolish me gave it a try

I had System Mechanic 6, but it didn't play nice with my daughter's program, so I didn't use it. Well, surprise email from iolo.com, they snagged $40 from my bank for my "yearly subscription." Huh? Somewhere in the bowels of ordering the product on line, I missed this part. Anyhow, Sys Mech 7 (SM7) looked and acted ok, you know set it, forget. My wife and daughters bugging me for some idea of what to get me for Xmas. So I said, Sys Mech 7, hamming it up, I really wanted it. Internet and programs were a tad bit faster at first. There are times I have to keep rebooting the machine to get on the internet, not sure if that is SM7 fault. First time ever, browser freezes, programs won't launch at time. Again, reboot. Restarts quick, takes minutes (2) for the SM7 to load, basically can't do anything until then; making the computer a paper weight. My wife and daughter complain about the computer acting up daily, I'm in hell. Definitely download the trail version to make sure it likes your computer, maybe there is some software on mine that's causing problems. Cow

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Great software! This is the core product of the larger "pro" suite, and it is definitely the brains behind the operation. System Mechanic 7 has a hugely improved interface (takes a little while to get used to it, but once you do you will never go back), tons of new features that seem to run more smoothly and effectively than older versions (I've used it since v4), and a lot of thought that's been put into packaging a great deal of power into an easily managable software product. Kudos to IOLO - they have improved on something I believed was unimprovable!

Being a fan of previous versions of Sys Mech I am horrified by this version. Iolo have sold out big time. It doesn't work with Vista as Iolo claim it does. There is no customer support, just auto reply e mails dished out by bots. A total waste of time and money. I am a uk customer and I have instructed my bank to reclaim the money from them. Iolo won't even hold thier hands up and admit that they are decieving the public and taking money under false pretences. I suggest that all download sites should pull it from thier list of downloads. I have scoured every major search engine and cannot find one positive on this product. My advice...... Leave well alone!
