When you goto the page the toolbar shows a few things...
It shows the owner of the page.
It shows the NetCraft rating (out of 10)...where a score of 0 is best (meaning no risk). The higher the value the more the risk.
It shows the page rank in the NetCraft database (kind of like Alexa's stats, but its not based on traffic like Alexa. Its based off website clicks since the whole database it data gathered from users using the toolbar).
Its very informative...and helpful for locating and avoiding phishing sites.
THe only reason i give it a 4/5 is because when you have the toolbar activated, Internet Explorer opens slower and pages open slower since it has to contact the server for the information to display on the toolbar. |
