Best favorites manager out there...
I cant comment about FireFox or Opera support since i dont use those browsers. But IE support is great.
The program reads your favorites like an explorer window...
First column is name, second column is location, third column is link...or something like that...very nice. Then there is a column for status, which is filled after running a scan.
The favorites are NOT shown in folders, just one big list, but since the location is shown, its not a big deal.
With the click of a button (and a setting to tell it how many favorites to be testing at once) the program checks all your favorites to see if they are working, or if there is a problem.
Problems could be:
Page doesnt exist
Page is a now a redirect
Page requires logging in
And that information is filled in the column so you can see.
Each column is sortable, which is real nice...even the error column.
If the site is fine, itll report OK.
Now im not sure if the program has a built in FireFox or Opera browser for those users using FireFox or Opera, but for people on Internet Explorer, it has an Internet Explorer built into the program such that you can double click any favorite and open it in the program (wihtout opening a new window) to manually see what the deal is with a webpage.
The program is great for updating links and managing your favorites. Its lightweight and comes with a built in browser. Its also very fast and has some nice sounds that come with the software.
If you have 1000 bookmarks like I do, I recommend this software to keep those bookmarks up to date.
Oh yeah, and its FREE. |
