2.07. Dunno who the programmers were for this one but they royally stuffed up a great app. BSOD's on a fresh XPSP2 install when a few hundred connections using BT. Wildly fluctuating transfer rate when limiting and to add insult to injury installing an unnecessary, buggy as hell service. Stick to version 1.3, it might crash occasionally but it doesn't take the entire system down with it like 2.07/2.08.
Their forums have been disabled since the start of the year. I wonder why(sarcasm inserted).

| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | I have decreased the value from the last review because I have found a progrma with more value...that being DU Super Controller.
If you want a 3rd party program to control your entire program id say look into DU Super Controller...its cheaper too! |

| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | I used this software a long time ago, so Im sure there have been a lot of updates since i last recall.
When i Used it I recall it being a resource hog.
I wasnt also very keen on the fact that it had to install a new "virtual" network card to do the bandwidth limiting features. I dont know if there is another way to do the limited, but having to install a new virtual adapter isnt usually my kind of thing.
The fact that its not free also puts this low on my list.
Im sure there are other alternatives out there...besides, most software you use nowadays has bandwidth limiting features in it. And if your software doesnt...well im sure there are alternatives to the software you have that does, so look around.
Overall great idea, but not free and its means of doing the limiting is good but not "great". |
