| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | RegSeeker is, without question, the BEST registry cleaning utility I have found. I say this as one who still tests many of the latest/hottest/most popular cleaning utilities that come out. After so many comparison runs, my test has become quite simple. Here it is:
Step 1) Install and run NewUtilityToBeTested (I will just use 'NUTBT' to mean every other program I have tried and compared against RegSeeker. This is not the name of an actual program, in case you were sleep-reading.)
Step 2) Re-run NUTBT as many times as it takes to be able run a complete scan with zero registry entries flagged.
Step 3) Re-boot computer and repeat Step 2 just to be extra sure there is nothing left NUTBT can flag as useless registry chaff.
Step 4) Run RegSeeker and chuckle at how many useless registry entries it flags that were left behind by NUTBT.
Step 5) Repeat Steps 2 & 3 on a second computer that needs a good registry scrubbing, except this time giving RegSeeker first crack at it. (NOTE: Step 1 becomes unnecessary - RegSeeker DOES NOT NEED INSTALLATION. Just keep it in a folder on your desktop or some other convenient place and run it directly from there. It also make the perfect portable registry cleaner by keeping it tucked away handily on your favorite jump/thumb drive. Even the backups it makes get saved to the folder you ran it from, so it leaves ZERO residue on the computer being cleaned. NONE.)
Step 6) Run NUTBT and chuckle that it finds zero entries to clean, because RegSeeker has already scrubbed anything NUTBT could have found.
I have run this simple test with most of the most popular registry cleaners available - UniBlue Registry Booster, CCleaner, Glary Utilities, etc. I could list a whole bucketful of them. Score so far? Not one of them has found anything left to clean after first thoroughly cleaning with RegSeeker. And in EVERY case Regseeker has found additional items to clean after first thoroughly scrubbing with NUTBT. Pretty hard to argue with, no?
To be fair, the other 3 programs I named, and scores of others, all do admirable jobs of cleaning out cluttered registries. Let's face it - in real-time performance terms, once you have deleted the first 1500 or 2000 junk entries from a badly cluttered registry, finding those extra couple hundred probably won't make a noticeable difference. But hey - since when do us geeks care about that? If there's a useless entry that can be skewered, by golly we want it dead and gone. And I can find nothing that is better at killing evil registry vermin than RegSeeker.
As for the other features, they are a handy bunch as well. VERY simple and intuitive to use. Remember it is not intended to be a full-blown scrubber for the whole hard drive. It is a registry cleaner with some nice extras thrown in. And did I mention it installs ZERO junk on the machine you are trying to clear of, ummm... junk? Novel idea, that. Anyone at MS paying attention here? Or Symantec? Or Adobe? Or any of you other arrogant, lazy basta... well, you get my point.
One beef with RegSeeker - FIX THE FREAKIN' SCROLL FUNCTION PLEASE!! My eyes leap out of my head and run hide under the sofa every time I scroll down a list of flagged entries. Seriously. Fix it already. Since you're making so much bank from giving whiney jerks like me an absolutely butt-kicking utility for, uhhhh... Hey! Did I mention RegSeeker is FREE???
Download. Use it. Sacrifice a lamb and sing it's praises. This thing really does stomp butt. |

| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | RegSeeker is a registry cleaner with very high detection power.
It came to have to detect to the registry that the system file used in an old version, and to reinstall OS though it had been improved in a recent version occasionally.
A present version is confirmed a part of system registry is detected, and is needed some knowledge by use.
In conclusion, this software is not a beginner situation. |

| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | | RegSeeker is one of my favourite tools for PC maintenance. It is small, fast and doesn't require installation: just put it on your system and run. Once a month I use it for cleaning my registry of redundant/obsolete entries and errors. I install and inevitably uninstall lots of programs and RegSeeker is an integral part of my uninstall routine: a lot of programs are badly written and leave many entries even after proper uninstallation and RegSeeker helps me to find those unneeded items in the registry and delete them. This utility has also many other useful options. So far I have never had problems with RegSeeker and I would highly recommend this superb program but not to novice: one should be very careful making changes to the registry, you should understand what you do. Even to experienced PC users I would advise to always use "Backup before deletion" option of the program and also make a system restore point before using RegSeeker: that way you can recover from any mistakes you may accidentally make. |
