Basic, VERY easy to use and it does exactly what it says - it unlocks the file for access to rename or delete. Even better - it was free!

Extremely useful!! Even an amateur can use it.
I've been used it after I incidentally download it. This software helps me to get rid of 'hard to del' viruses. Excellent job for the developers. I recommended it to all.

I had a very annoying hooking virus attaching itself to every process on my computer. I would not have been able to remove it without this great program. This is a must have in my opinion if you like having real control over your own computer.

It worked very well on XP,but i cant use it on my Vista ultimate 64

I had been struggling with a folder for hours and hours. I don't have time to reboot my system in safe mode or make some monumental changes every single time I am working and want to rename a file or a folder. This little feature in XP just sucked. But, when I got the Unlocker program version 1.8.5 IT WORKED LIKE A DREAM! Right after download and install, I right clicked on the folder, choose the unlocker and was able to rename the folder in seconds. These guys only ask for a donation. I can't give much but I will be donating for sure!

Great software! Works great with every file. It is easy to use and when added to shell extension, is always there when you need.

I had this annoying program file I wanted to delete, but it wouldn't. So, I eventually found this site and this program. I downloaded it and at first I killed all the processes being run by the program, but it was set to "no action" at the bottom left corner, so the file wasn't deleted. The second time when I knew what to do, I changed "no action" to "delete" and the file was erased like a charm. A truly good program although confusing for first time users.

who needs instructions to use something so simple?

once installed right click on the file you want removed
select unlocker
then select the action you want it to do
then hit ok

wow so hard. if you need instructions to do that then you shouldnt be online to begin with. thats as simple as plugging in your pc or pushing the start button to the pc.

Free is great but if you don't have instructions that make sense, it's useless. Ths is useless as the insructions are scant and unclear.

Very usefull!

I had been trying to delete a VERY stubborn "in use" file for months. I used dozens of tips and tricks and programs from all over the Internet. This program got rid of it in seconds! It was so easy!

Love and use v 1.85 often,and is very simple to use compared to Attribute Changer.I'm sure v 1,86 will be as good or better.Thanks

Kills the SendTo function in PowerDesk 4.0. Had to uninstall Unlocker to correct the problem. Explorer SendTo function did work with Unlocker installed.

Unlocker rocks! I had this file sitting on my desktop saying to me every morning, "So, what ya got today?" I threw tons of stuff at it to no avail, Googled 'undeletable file' and found Unlocker. A few seconds later the job was done.

Worked perfectly on Windows MCE, Toshiba Satellite laptop. Great!

This is one of the first things I install on a new Windows machine. I can't tell you how many times this has come in handy... getting Windows to release a file lock when a thread crashes used to be a real pain. It even pops up automatically when you encounter a lock! 5 stars for sure.
