| GUI:   Features: Ease of use: Value: |  | NEVER, EVER buy any of their products. IF you ever need to reinstall or have any problems, they will not assist or reply you. I've sent over a dozen emails to 4 different email address and never got a response. :angry:

I dont know how bad or how good is the previous version of Ashampoo WinOptimizer. But, honestly with this new version of Ashampoo WinOptimizer 4.35, it works excellent. It gives you more than you want. For example, Visual Styler can make your windows lvista premium ike GLASS effect; System Benchmark can analysis your pc performance with other computers systems; Defrag 2 is a tool defragmenting faster than Windows defrag program and it does not takes load of your RAM to run it; File Wiper helps to removed those files forever from your systems, Startup Tuner helps you manage startup program registry (only load for current user or all windows user), Disk Cleaner is a great tool to remove all the rubbish from your pc, it works without any problem or risk. Other tools such as Diskspace Explorer, Internet Cleaner and Tuner, Porcess Manager, etc these tools are just extra. nothing helps your pc to be optimzed but just give you more info about your computer. IP Spam Blocker not use for Vista OS (doesnt means it doesnt work). The application interface is so attractive and now even support skin changes and easy to use. Tool tips are clear explained too. Overall, this is the best for windows optimizer software. |

All the features of this application that it shares with Ace Utilities or TuneUp Utilities are inferior in Ashampoo WinOptimizer.
The features that they dont have there are much better alternatives.
File Splitter & Joiner, Encrypter & Decrypter, please check out WinRAR it can do all this and compress and decompress ALOT!
Defrag, PrefectDisk is better, it might be good for some though that wants that integrated.
File Associator, why use this (just do it in explorer)?
Two exceptions: 1. Dll-Cleaner, I have not used this but it said that I had 159 MB of unneccesary dlls, could be nice, I don't know seems a little dangerous.
2. IP Spam Blocker, I have not tried this, could be nice. |

Ashampoo makes high quality softwares. This is one of those. In one click you will optimize the whole system and then, automatically, in one sweep, run drive cleaner, registry cleaner and internet cleaner. The drive cleaner will sweep the drive more throughly than many other "drive cleaners". Look in the recycle bin after a sweep, and you will find a lot of redundant files! With this package you can easily reset and also change Windows settings, which are otherwise difficult to do. I for instance, sit alone with my laptop and it was really silly to "log in" every time I started Windows. That I, very easily, changed with this program! You can manage some of Windows own tuning tools. That is, also, easier to do with this software, because you have those tuning tools in one place! You have a spam blocker and a start up tuner, that is, you can edit which program you allow Windows to start up with. You can get information about your computer (disk space usage), wipe files that can not be recoverd and split files and then join them for easier transportation through the internet, or other use. The program lets you to quickly defragment your hard drive. A lot of functions that will make your computer in good shape! The price is therefore okey and the program is really fantastic!
