| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | | This is absolutely the best firewall I have used, except the slightly simple GUI. The features are many, and it protects me against spy sites very well, whereas the rest say so but don't do so. Recommended respectfully! |

| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | The last good version was Zone Alarm 6.1, people who download this software might want to take note of that number if they plan on using this software as that was the last good ZA install that wasn't buggy, poorly written and system degrading and overall a complete annoyance of a software, combined with logs corruption and features in the firewall not working with the newer version and slow updates by the company to rectify the buggy 6.5 + releases. How much better is 7 from the buggy 6.5 releases, you decide and be the judge.
Zone Alarm tries to do too much and ends up doing too little and giving users too much annoyance.
For the price you get alot of features garbled into one product then again most firewalls now days are incorporating these features as standard, anti-phishing and the rest there are always issues with this software.
Setting up rules can be confusing as the naming scheme of things and detailed guide on these settings is lacking and at times insufficient for most users.
If you want a firewall that actually does its job and block outgoing connections, remembers your database settings (bug, not corruption of database) then stick with version 6.1. Or else look for another firewall and a hardware one too.
Would I use this program? No, that's why I switched firewalls. :)
More of a hassle than piece of mind! |

| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | | ZoneAlarm detects only one at my pc. Agnitum detects all. I make an new test in a few days und i upp a screenshot. |
|
| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | Zone Alarm 6.x is the only firewall that passes all FW leak tests including "Atelier Web Firewall Tester" without any need for special tweaks.
All the rest (norton, agnitum, etc.) fail most of them.
This is simply the best product out there. |
|
| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | The ZoneAlarm 4.5 was the best Firewall for some years.
The version 5 wasn't better and in version is no revulotion too.
I used ZoneAlarm many Years but since version 5 i know that ZoneLabs do nothing for ther Products more.
Better are Agnitum Outpost and Norton.
You should test the firewall with "Atelier Web Firewall Tester".
