| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | The latest version - 2.1.0.112 - is a terrific firewall. As far as I can tell all the bugs have been fixed and it is now an easy to configure and use firewall.
OA does not seem to slow down my LAN or internet connections and is easy on system resources. I had been using Kerio 2 for quite a while because it is small, easy to use and minimal impact on the system. OA has many of the qualities of Kerio 2 but is much more secure. |

| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | Once all the bugs are removed, it should be a great product... On this I sort-of agree with "Johnny Ringo;" however, right now it is too problem prone to even be a Beta because it causes frequent "lock-ups" which require me to turn the power off without doing a proper shutdown (doing this creates bad sectors on a hard drive).
Until you see a new release of this program, I suggest that you do your hard drive a favor and stay clear of Online Armor 2.1.0.31 ... |

| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | Positives:
+ Loads at boot, so that malware/exploits can\'t shut it down through the Explorer medium.
+ Resolves the names of internet connections plus the names of countries (an excellent security feature...)
+ Easy to setup...
+ 100% leak proof...
Negatives :
- Does not work with Sandboxie (only works if you shutoff important features of Online Armor, which defects the purpose of a firewall...)
- Does not save logs of internet traffic.
- Kind of buggy on Windows 2000 SP4...
Conclusion:
Not a finished product, but instead, think of it as a Beta with great potential.

| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | | This is an excellent free firewall product. Yes, they leave out some features, but consider that the programmer has to feed his family and not everything can be free. This free version is very much worth it and a great way to add another security layer to your computer. It does ask a lot of questions during setup, but it's worth the effort to go through it all as when you are done the number of questions it asks is less than almost any other firewall I have used. Also, according to matousec.com it get a 100% on the leak tests making it quite secure. Overall a great value in a free program. Download it now. |

| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | | Pretty nice security program. Looks nice, fairly easy to use. However, I'm sorry to say that this free version is seriously crippled, and hardly worth the download. The list of features in the description is badly misrepresented. I have no problem with crippled demo programs, but only the avaliable features should be listed, not the features of the VERY EXPENSIVE commercial version. There is a comparison of the free version to the commercial versions here, which proves that it's hardly worth the trouble to install. http://www.tallemu.com/comparisons.html |

| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | | Replaced Comodo as my choice for the best free firewall. It comes in with a OS firewall aka program guard n an inbound protection firewall.Has outclassed every other firewall in competition to emerge as the absolute leak proof firewall...recent testings have shown that...it performed better than Comodo n a hell lot better than zonealarm...the novice user might take some time to work around all the settings but is pretty darn good for intermediate and advanced users....it even shows how much each program that connected to the internet downloaded or uploaded individually it also shows the location of the server to which u are connecting and has a pretty good database of safe programs thereby reducing the no. of alerts u wud otherwise see...try it...u shudnt b dissapointed... |
