The program ran for a LONG time and wiped out EVERY MS Word DOCUMENT by overwriting with capital Y's
Microsoft could not recover the files-had to install back up files to recover. |

The default prefetch cleaning was removed a few releases ago(about time).
The hotfix uninstaller is unchecked as default and if anyone messes around with these two settings which are clearly unchecked and greyed out under the advanced column without researching what these advanced options do and stuff up their computer it's their own fault.
It only performs slowly if you've got an 8gb hard drive with 1.5gb of crap. Wiith a 120gb HD and 1.5gb of crap cleaning only takes 10-15seconds."

* Title is accurate, as this "Cleaner" is CRAP!
Cons:
* Their support forums are terrible. Bugs often go ignored for months on end and issues are often never fixed.
* Comes bundled with adware/spyware - Yahoo Toolbar
* The uninstaller does not uninstall or help to remove the Yahoo Toolbar.
* Cleans prefetch. A stupid concept that slows your computer performance.
* Cleans Hotfixes from Microsoft, a very bad idea should an issue ever arise and these need to be uninstalled.
* Hotfix and Prefetch cleaning have NO WARNINGS about what harm they can cause.
* Software performs slowly due to immensely large winapp ini
* No unicode support, which has been requested for over a year.
* Overuse of ActiveX/OCX files which can lead to issues just trying to run the software.
* Some elements within the application do not function as they should. |
