RAR is very good, 90% of the time it is better than ZIP compression wise. Zip is sometimes preferable when alot of people must be able to uncompress it (it can compress zip too of course). It can split files. It can encrypt files very well too. It can uncompress almost everything! |

Eventually I fell in love with the program...but then I found WinRAR. It was ok, but looked kinda ugly. Then they released the skinning feature and WinZip was uninstalled. This program ROCKS! |

Good and very fast compression, very very very awesome Command Line, which supports almost everything where I had use it, much better line and speed than 7-zip. |

Its fast, it integrates into the shell VERY nicely, and it supports reading a multitude of formats....key word: READING.
Id like to see it have the ability to support creation of these formats.
Im also hoping they integrate the ability to read Stuffit archives... (.sit files).
I love that it can now be themed. No more hacking the GUI to get themes :).
The best keeps getting better! |
