Many years ago we used Symphony (version 1.2 I think it was). We changed to SuperCalc (did I mention the years?). The problem we ran into was that, for a certain range of values, Symphony's built-in ROI calculation was incorrect. As in, wildly incorrect. Symphony support's response was, "Yeah. We know. No one uses that so we don't plan to fix it in the near future." The Computer Associates guy (selling SuperCalc at that time) was real happy to hear about that and sold us somewhere in the neighborhood of 160 copies of his product; that did properly calculate ROI in the range of our data.
It would be fascinating to know if they ever got around to fixing that problem for version 2. |
