Have you ever wondered what is reading the registry? Or what is writing the registry, maybe some rogue spyware? Or what all the hubbub, bub, is about anyways.
Well the computer-world super-heroes at Sysinternals/Winternals (yep, those very same computing Gods of ERD Commander fame) have given us this little gem, Regmon. Regmon allows you to see what's reading the registry, what's writing the registry, all in real time. You'll be amazed at how much Registry activity goes on even when "nothing" is going on on the computer. The activity level of Registry reads & writes is almost dizzying, so thankfully the ability to filter is included.
If you need to do hard-core diagnostics, or are just curious, get this and run it. It isn't a world of Dragons, but an interesting one nonetheless. |
