| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | This is TotalCommander (TC) with a bunch of preinstalled plugins. The PowerPack itself is considered freeware. But TC is shareware.
It is a little overwhelming for a newbie. So start out on the standard TC. The button bars or crowded. And I'm sure there's plenty of stuff that I will never use.
Also as the other reviewer said. After installing the PowerPack, my original TC install was screwed.
With all that said, I'm still like this packaging. It helped me discover a few plugins I didn't know about. I just had to uninstall a few i don't think are useful and spend time cleaning up button bars. But other than that, I like it. And will continue to use it. |

| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | this "power pack" is way to bloated.. newbies should stay away from it and try a clean TC first. People already using TC: do not attempt to install this bitch as it will delete *all* of your current settings, including FTP-Accounts etc.
Really sad... and half of the "extensions" is shit anyways. Stay away from this thing at all costs, rather pick the extensions you want by hand but don't loose precious time by
1) downloading,
2) installing,
3) realizing how much it sucks,
4) starting your old TC install
5) finding out how TC PP fucked it all up
6) restoring your TC install (if you were - unlike me - happy enough to have backups)
@author: please do at least some testing and QC before releasing such immature shit onto people - kthbxbye |
