this updater is good but for reason that i do not understand esset antivirus is blocking the progress of downloading it!!

Regular Avira updates helped me a lot with my everyday works

Avira is one of my faivorate antivirus softwares because of its light uses for Windows threads of the processed.. But not fair / good enough for REPAIRING a trojan, worms,patched etc..

i am using it for last 03 months for my lap top ,working satisfactorily.

If you cant identify the defination file, perhaps its because the file name appears like vdf_fusebundle[1].zip (without the [1]).Make sure it always appears like vdf_fusebundle.zip and you wont have to search for it again.

I have been happily using Avira for some time now. But recently have found it hard to update the vdf_fusebundle.zip file. I don't have the Internet at home. So the process has been going to the local library to download the vdf_fusebundle.zip file. Then manually instal the file on my PC.

Recently I have found I need to search for this file. I use Windows XP. Any chance a direct link can be emailed to me? Thanks for the great product and secure feeling the programme gives.

Great app but terrible update process. Clicking on the Start Update link frequently does nothing. Manual update often fails too, with "The VDF update kit is invalid", even though I just downloaded it from Avira. WTF ?

Avira is a comprehensive, easy to use antivirus program

good anti virus program but so frustrating to download especially the update files. this makes me look for other alternaltives.

I analysed the file with virustotal.com and the site told me it is a Virus and that AntiVir can regonize it. I must say taht update service is not good, i had to update definitions manually, because it cant connect on the server. however, the new definitions of AntiVir helped me DELETE that virus!

I've always used Avira Antivirus Free edition, and on many computers in the past. I never used to have any problems updating manually using the definition file from Softpedia, until recently that is.
I do use winrar to open zipped files and always have, but for some unknown reason the file no longer shows when i try to update manually and navigate to the file. It is there but it doesn't show. Its strange. Could it be that its no longer compatible with winrar?
Has anybody else come across this? If so please email me on the above address with your thoughts / solutions.

Overall i rate Avira the best free antivirus out there and i recommend it to all my friends and family.

Hi i am using avira premium security suite9.0.0.390plus, every time i run the vdf_fuse bundle manual updates it says vdf update is invalid.
My specs are win7 64bit core2duo 3gig, 6gig of ram with gigabyte board.

rename it first into vdf_fusebundle.zip & update it manually if you're using version 9. .

if you're using latest Avira 9,then you need to download vdf update file
ivdf is only for version 8 n older

May you help me to explain me about update by manual, because i have to read your information that so me way to update by manual and i have did it follow by your information but when i have update, it not successful because message show me VDF failed I don't know about this problem, May you help me about my problem.

The Avira Antivir Definition File Update is really good. Its very handy when automatic update feature is not going through. I like it a lot as it helps me to keep my Home Desktop protected as I do not have Internet facility at home.

the vdf file we cannot download fastly. And it is not completes while sitting after 2 hours also.please make a file that can easly download within a short time.

Avira is an excellent antivirus. However, i think that their VDF update could do with a minor improvement. I think that they should divide the updates into weekly or monthly segments so as to reduce the size of downloads. Thanks.

I think there is a problem with their automatic update these days that\'s why I have to manually update Avira. But still Avira is the best free antivirus available on the web today!

i just try to dl the update today . and i think it good cause not slow down my pc. but much better if the monthly update issued. sometimes too busy to dl.

It should have Daily & Weekly & Monthly & Complete Definition File Update...

I think it's a best antivir software that i've tried. now i have only the free version, but i'm thinking about buying the normal version with all features

avira antivirus is good. it detects all types of virus. it does not affect my RAM. it is very easy to update manually rather than automatic update.
GENRAL INFO:go to update_manual update_(browse where u have saved ur zip file)click open. thats it. ur antivirus will get updated.

I relied for Y E A R S on software Eset Nod32 Antivirus, and it didnt recognize the Virus C: windows system32 drivers svchost.exe wich is a TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen !!!
DO NOT USE NOD32 !!!!
