Great searching tool that is much better than the Windows 2000/XP search tool.
This tool brings back the file search in 95/98/ME for 2000/XP. The search in 2000/XP is slow and I find it doesnt actually STOP scanning when you click the STOP button, which is annoying.
The GUI is a little dry considering current Windows XP standards...so that can use some updating.
Everything else is great.
Its fast, its lightweight, and it stops scanning when you click STOP.
I really like this program.
There are just a few things that I would like to see with this program:
1) better GUI as stated above
2) ability to make the SEARCH ICON in the start menu open up this software as opposed to the Windows XP Explorer based File Search (which is that stupid animated dog if you havent already turned him off)
3) cheaper price...
I dont like that its not free...
Makes you want to look elsewhere...or just force yourself to be satisfied with Windows 2000/XP file/folder search. |
