The application is very slow and has no update system... ok I can live with this but what I cant stand is the "auto protection" system...he protected himself even from the uninstall module.( I had to enter in save mode to delete him, even after I've killed all his processes from services.msc and from msconfig

My PC was infected by Win32/Virtu.NCS and the KVRT cure all infected files! I'm so happy :D

the best virus removal tool, although it is rather slow when scanning, but, very effective. It can detect trojan.agent.MSIL.wz, that my installed antivirus could not detect it. I hope kaspersky, fix the problem about the speed, the most important is, when scanning rar or zip file. But, overall, it's very good

I ran the same version 9.0.0.722 on 27 March 2010 (few days before). It took three hours and fifteen minutes and worked well. This may be the best robust free tool available online to clear the mess inside your comp. I do have Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 installed, but I still run the above every two months additionally to nail the viruses.

it the best virus removal tool......free.......to use side by side against a free antivirus.....

and if anybody is having problem removing it then try kaspersky removal tool 10 and remove it in safe mode, then it will be fine and removed......

The version i downloaded this morning is the new Kaspersky Virus Removal 7.0. It looks like it was just released yesterday, July 1, 2008. Please know that my problems with it may be just user error. I downloaded the free software, then restarted and put my computer in safe mode, then started running it. Both times I attempted this with the same result. Twice the software suddenly stopped and "froze". I have a new laptop (an HP Pavilion tx1205us). I had high hopes for this fix as a friend recommended Kaspersky products. I am interested in seeing other reviews on the site for the new 7.0 version. I will notify Kaspersky about the issue.

no updates,have to download a new version every time and very hard to uninstall. Reccomented to none!
