i used vista mizer in my windows 7 then uninstalled.later rebooting i cant get my aero effects back someone pls help me....

This Is For Windows xp.

Ok Anyone that is thinking of or has installed Vista Mizer.

This Is What Happened.

1.I Installed Vistermizer.
2.i didn't like it.
3.I done a system restore to a point before vistamizer was installed.
4.I rebooted and logged on.

PROBLEMS!! -The vista icons where still on my pc.

How did i Fix It you ask?

ok:
Run Tweak UI Nothing else. (if you don't already have it download and install it)

Click on "Repair" On the left
Choose Rebuild Icons From The Dropdown
Click Repair now.
There you go You icons should be back to normal

This is a very good program and it works for people who still had their Windows XP since 2001 like me. This is better than vista transformation pack it had 30 different programs that slowed my computer to a halt. 5/5 best program ever.

Installed and uninstalled then installed again with no problems. I kid you not though, this program has made my computers performance alot better. Has anyone else experienced this as well? When i did uninstall it went back to the speed it use to run. Once it was back it was on roids. Very pleased with with lay out and futures. Also love rocketdock.

I have been using VistMizer for a couple of years now, and I ahve only one computer (of 7) that will not laod the Side Bar, but allothers work properly.

Hello.Listen.Please don't use this software!It may look fine, but it is impossible to completely remove it without using a special tool, like Your Uninstaller! or IObit Advanced Uninstaller.Even such special uninstalling programs may have big problems removing it.In several time, it will take the control of your system.It will want more and more space, it will make your computer slower, and it may start making problems running some programs.I agree that Vista interface is great, put is a pleasure to work with XP too.If you want Vista, buy an original one, don't try this program or other strange programs like this!I used it and Backup or System Restore didn't help me to remove it.I had to reinstall the Windows.Now it is OK.So please don't trust it!Love XP because XP loves you but he don't love Vistamizer!Trust only the professional programs!I don't want to say that my problems will occur on all computers, but I had a nightmare experience with it.

this is coool .. i uninstalled and i got the pc in the same position as it was..but now i am planning to install again..My pc is 64 but still it dosn't hangs !!

You should make the Aero theme's taskbar (bar at the bottom of the screen) black instead of gray

This Software is awsome, no problems... ...exept for one. One of our old PCs got stuck with the Vista Icons after uninstalling the Vista Mizer. We fixed the problem (It's too long to explain),but I think that the next Version of Vista Mizer needs a Repair Setup Installed with it to help fix the problem easier for other people.

The setup should be really easy to make. I could probably make, but I have the REAL Vista now.

Best works 100% no viruses

the program is still downloading, but one question. Can i change back to XP anytime i want without removing or deleting the VistaMizer file?

Wasted hours on this so-called "excellent" theme. It looks cool, BUT installation is a total nightmare.
So i downloaded it and based on reviews i decided to unplug my dsl line and took a deep breath and installed, hoping no trojans appear. So i rebooted and my nice win xp theme stuffed up. So now im back to the really annoying windows 95 theme. So now i log on and go to Display properties. Appearance tab is totally stuffed up - VistaMizer was there, but i get errors when trying to preview the theme.
I am so lucky there was an uninstaller.
SO EVERYONE, DON'T TRY THIS THEME !!!

this is really, really great,,.. i don't experience any bad side from this software at all.., everything just go nicely... good job!!

Installed Vistamizer 3.6 and running xp sp3 without any problem. Though I have not fully explored, there are some minor issues I have encounted:

1. system has slowed down a bit. (system: core 2 duo 1.86 GHz, 2MB L3, 2 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD)

2. "My Recent Documents" command in save dialog boxes does not work. I am not able to view recent folders in which I had saved files.

Love the look. I also like the fact that it appears to have speeded my PC up somewhat. Comes into it\\\'s own with the extension pack.

What I did not like however were the back door trojans in the extension pack download. That has been a bit of a headache this evening.

Surely I am fan of this software. I must say it gives you flavour of rich desktop.

I would rate this software overall as 2/5 stars.

It does a fairly good job of emulating the Vista look under XP, but may cause problems unless your XP machine is entirely up to date before you install.

The memory requirement is much higher than the default XP GUI however, taking almost 100MB more memory just when idling.

The GUI is also slightly less responsive, and suffers from a few performance issues.

Do not expect Vista features however, this only skins the XP GUI, it does not add Vista-specific features (such as the menu-ized address bars).

The uninstaller also suffers from a few issues, I have used different system snapshot programs to confirm that not all modified files may be replaced, and some Registry entries are not restored either. I recommend that you create a restore point before you install.

All-in-all, it was fun to play around with, but I would not recommend it for everyday use.

Hello, I just installed VistaMizer and rebooted my computer. When my computer was saving changes a error popped up and I clicked OK. My computer rebooted and everything is good now. At this moment I didn't get any problems except the one above ( Well, not a big deal, maybe it's an early problem). Anyways I was asking my self what is the expansion. I downloaded and installed VistaMizer 3.5.0.0, is the expansion allowing me do to more stuff or something. And Is it safe to download it and (update?) 3.5.0.0 version?

All i can say "BEST OF THE BEST" software!!! I've been using this VistaMizer for more than a month now! It didn't create any problem on my Intel Celeron Laptop. In fact, it run even faster and efficient than before. It only change the appearance but never affect all the programs inside. Initially I was worried it might messed up my system and reluctant to try it, but i'm so glad for making the right choice downloading this software! I suggest for those who wish to install this software, please check your PC error first to avoid any system crash later after installation. I've added vista look sidebar with the clock stuff from Thoosje. I also added some winflip and the transparent start menu from BricoPack Vista Inspirat Ultimate 2 which make my laptop looks 100% vista feel! But most of all, Vistamizer change all the appearance from start-up untill the shut down. You wouldn't remember how your old XP look like after installation. Thanks to M.Hoefs for developing such a great software!

This is an amazing program. It did not give me any viruses. It has a real feel of Windows Vista. I fooled many of my friends into thinking I have Windows Vista.

I've just download VistaMizer_3.3.0.0 and it really sucks..after installation, it ask to reboot my COM, and then my COM keep rebooting but the startup screen won't show up...some1 please help me with this problem

Iv'e used everyone so far but recently iv'e upgraded to Vista so maybe, could you continue to creat to VistaMizer but also make a program to change to Vista looks to Windows 7. The taskbar and the windows never changed, it only changed the wallpaper, cursors, and sound effects, please provide some faqs and help for the installation of this product.

This program is truely amazing! i wanted to make my boring Windows XP look as stylish as a vista. i looked into vista home basic (because thats all my graphics card will aloud) and found that it is just a fancy look for vista. AND IT WAS REALLY EXPENSIVE! i searched the web for cheaper (maybe even free) ways to make my desktop look like vista. i found this site and was a little bit skeptical at first but i tried it and loved it! I would recommend this program to anyone!

I'm a really big fan of the VISTA MIZER!!! Iv'e used all of them so far and you won't find a program like this anywere. All the other ones have problems or you have to install them manually.
For the next version of VISTA MIZER could the creators make the tollbars, window blinds, start menu, etc... all transparent.

There is nothing wrong with this product. I sat here and read all the reviews and was kinda iffy myself as to whether or not I should get it. I've had it for awhile now, and it didn't slow my computer down at all, I'm pretty sure it made it faster. I'm 16 years old and I love love this. Very excellent product!

Iv'e tried all the Vistamizers from 3.1 to 3.2 and there both awsome with no problems. But for the next Vistamizer you make, can you make CLEAR toolbars and window boarders.

Pretty good, but takes way too long to install. GUI is awesome though.

easy to install and remove....but the problem is it consumes a lot of memory so ul pc wl get slower..

My opinion is that if you are unable to spell, or compose a coherent sentence, you should probably not attempt to install VistaMizer (or anything else for that matter). I'm seeing a lot of illiteracy here and it seems that it's the illiterate one who are having most of the problems. I'm sure that some of the problems are actually with the transformation pack (which is why I never recommend using them), but I'll bet that most of the trouble comes from not reading the instructions or disregarding the "confusing" parts of the instructions and just hoping all goes well.

3.2.0.0 and 3.1.0.0 are very much alike though. There are some differences, but thoughs small differences are really good.

I recommend this shell pack for all XP users.

This is great as these transformation packs go, but I also had the icon-spacing issue after the install. On icons view in explorer there is a lot of space between icons, as if it were trying to render a tiles view instead of icons.

One other thing: the window for you choose what files to transform is tiny. It looks like a refugee from the Win 95 era. Give us a bigger window, please, so we don't have to scroll back and forth constantly just to read the names of the files.

This by far the best vista skin i have come across and the very best part is its FREE. All the modified files works really well and also gave the booting process a kick. It lets you enjoy the both worlds of visa and xp.

I have used Vista Transformation Pack and Vista Inspirat earlier. This is by far the BEST program ever. I however didnt install any applications feature fearing that it may slow my PC. It works very well as of now!

Well I downloaded this here VistaMizer and let it do its thing. Of course I was fearing viruses and such, but I trust these sites I guess. I was taking a chance. Well anyways I downloaded it and restarted my computer. It's pretty sweet.

Actually some of my vista friends are kinda upset I have the best of both worlds... xp with a vista skin. And I tell you what, this skin isn't just a skin. It covers over all of the computer. It's awesome! A complete transformation! One thing I recommend and that's not to get the sidebar and just get the rocketdock. Type it in google and you'll find it. A+ to the makers!

The worst shell pack I have ever installed in my life! this thing seriously sucks, It messed up my Icons on my desktop, and now they are spread apart for some reason, I uninstalled it and it didn't fix the problem, this thing must have left some of the modified files out of the uninstall part, I swear the thing is like spyware or adaware, my Kaspersky Internet security suit was going crazy wile it was installed!

I do not recommend this trash to anyone, Period!

This is a cool feature to add to my XP. I always wanted the Vista Feel but didn't want to spend alot of money on Vista itself. I enjoy the toolbar layout, and it's look compared to XP's default green and blue. Vista just looked great on a computer. But personally i didn't like how it ran. So putting the smooth running XP features, with the good flashy looks of vista is great. Thank you. So far no complaints everything seems to work fine.

Thank you for creating this program. You have done a fantastic job with the entire software theme desktop enhancement! evrything runs smoothly and looks and sounds great! My friend purchased Vista for his last build and has had nothing but issues with most of the OS. Even with the service pack installed he still is indecisive abot keeping the Vista intact or reverting back to XP Pro. I told him about this software patch and the opnly reason that he could come up with indefense was that Vista recognizes all of his 4 gigs of ram. (Only 3.2 in XP)- (I told him to update his bios to fix that for XP but he never tried)

NOTE TO NEW AND FRUSTRATED USERS:

MAKE AURE THAT YOU HAVE THE LASTEST UPDATES FOR WINDOWS!!!! YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE THE SECURITY UPDATES THOUGH. I HAVE SERVICE PACK TWO WITH THE UPDATES FOR WINDOWS XP PRO THE OS AS WELL AS MEDIA PLAYER AND IT RUNS FLAWLESS!!!!

I ALSO NOTICED THAT WHEN I DID A FREASH GHOST 2003 IMAGE INSTALL THAT DIDN'T HAVE THE FEW OS SYSTEM UPDATES (ONCE AGAIN NOT THE SECURITY UPDATES) I HAD NOTHING BUT ISSUES INCLUDING BSoD's. AS SOON AS I INSTALLED THOSE FEW UPDATES AND RE-RAN THE PATCH INSTALL SOFTWARE. BAM!!!!! FLWALESS INSTALL AND RUNNING!!!!

Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks again to the creators of this awesome patch and to give my advice to those having issues. REMEMBER!!! PC's are like women sometimes, you just have to figure them out and keep up the maintenance when needed!

A great program to use, the GUI is well done, the fact that its free, not often do you come across a free piece of software that replicates a very complex and costly operating system.

Looks great initially, but as others have mentioned the start bar is basically a black verion of XP. Love the cursors, icons, sounds etc,

My main bugbear is why do things like My Computer, Control Panel not show any shortcuts to the left as per the screenshots? All the icons are hard against the left hand side :(

i really liked the task bar but the start menu was still just like XP, only black. as far as going into folders and stuff, still looked like XP with different colors, but vista icons. i didn't have any problems installing it, and it did not slow my pc down. it's just not enough of the vista look I am wanting. would be nice to have a control panel for it to adjust various settings.

well, i wanna review version 3.0.0.0, its soo bad, i couldn't login in to windows, it comes to me a blue screen with an erreur message then my computer starts to reboot again and again,, so i had to format and reinstall windows. i had 2.5 before and it was great,, but with this new version it caused me alot of problems,, i hope if u can fix this problem,, thanx

I do not recommend this skin unless you are a technician yourself and can work out all of the bugs. Yes, the user interface is nice, but this theme leaves pieces of Windows XP on the computer and it just doesn't look quite like Vista. I ended up trying to un-install it, but I had to manually remove a lot of pieces. It seems to be a very messy program, and (probably my fault) I delete some unknown VistaMizer file that was apperantly an essential part of the operating system... Oops. Think long and hard before installing this software, and keep your Windows XP CD handy...

Just installed it and my xp machine would not reboot and looped itself in the reboot process. I had to use my xp install cds to utilize the Recovery Console. Now I have my machine booting up again, but not without much angst! I will have to uninstall the crap installed with windows and reinstall all of my software. I fail to see the bargain!

hey everyone, i installed vistamizer 3.0 and when i manually rebooted my computer it failed to complete the boot process and only displays a black screen. My computer is Windows vista capable but am using Windows XP. any one with a solution please bail me out

When I click start menu, I found the start menu residue (left its visual) under the Thoosje Vista Sidebar 2.5. Same happen at my Circledock. I hope this bug will be fixed next time.

I downloaded it & found out that it consumes a lot of Memory.After installation was done ,i found it great at first.Cahnges all XP icons to Vista Icons,Start Menu was also Vista like that came second to windows XP if u have XP.The Cursor also was changed to Vista liked,The homepage of its creator is in german Languag,I dont take the risk of installing other applications it has which i already have.Such as Media Player,Offices etc.Then checked all my folders & files & it doesnt function the way it does before.sometimes when i open a folder it keeps on popping my Firefox redirecting me to a site,that obviously try to hacked my computer.So i finally run my Antispyware & antivirus software then uninstalled this,It has a virus & lots of spyware,malware & diallers/trojans.I recomend to download it at your OWN RISK.Whats the used of beautifying you XP,if this one will cause you trouble.

I just installed VistaMizer and I love it!!! wow it looks great. The only thing that I have noticed so far is that the letters on any window and even in Firefox look blurred (i.e. display properties, iGoogle - Mozilla Firefox, etc). I installed this a while ago and had a problem with some Data Execution Prevention thingy and it shut down explorer.exe. I want the Vista feel so i tried VTP but truetransparency kept making everything unselecatble. It's still good, so i retried and only found virus/spyware with the sidebar so word of warning: DON'T INSTALL THE SIDEBAR!

Erm, just for some clarifications. After I uninstall VistaMizer (Cos I forgot to do some backup...just incase ya =P), the folders and files spaces become very big. I mean, the gap between a file and another file is very width, so is there any way to solve this?

Hello, I downloaded 2.5.2.0. But can't install it. Installation stops when "extracting required files" is at 49 %. Tried again. Now its at 52 %. Help

And believe its really good and it changes theXp pc to a vist pc in every aspect, even the system sounds.

The only problem with the Vistamizer is the broken codes. When you try and click on the start menu it partially freezes, capturing the window you were previously in, and keeping a small section of the start screen on top, the other half behind other functioning windows. There is also another slight glitch with the start menu, at the very top, in the same column with options like Control Panel, My documents, My computer etc, a small black square appears. This may have just been my computer, but i had to change back to the XP theme, which i was quite upset about as the Vistamizer theme was so amazing.
Hopefully this glitch can be easily resolved.

A great effort, but unfortunately, it's a case of trying to ape someone you can never be. And remember, with the Vistamizer installed, your system will never be as fast as a virgin XP system. Practicality wins over looks, and sadly, not being an official Microsoft add-on, the Vistamizer is only reccomended for the really desperate for a poor man's version of Vista.

Yes the software looks great, works well and is easy to use. However. I have found issues that I think are intentional security breaches. There are small programs integrated in the software that download malicious applications to damage your system and hijack your computer then steal data and info from you. This software should ONLY be used if your PC is a stand alone and NOT connected to the net!!

I liked It but It couldn't change the complets theme. Its name is not in the display properies, and the task bar is the same as of the XP and Didnot made much of the effects on anoother user of my computer. Please help.

I highly recemend this to everyone who wants xp to look like vista! Although I am using 256 mb of ram and it is ok but it is a little slow at startup. It really looks like vista. There are a few bugs. I have tried many themes and this one is the best. The best of all it is free!!!!!!!!! When I buld my next pc I wont get vista I will put xp in then I will download vistamizer!!!!!! I am using nvidia 6200 256 mb and it is just fine.

Definitely a great program! My computer still runs great and has the modern look of Windows Vista. Only thing that I have noticed this program is missing are the images on the start menu to the left of the Control Panel, My Recent Documents, etc. Everything else is fantastic! A program!

VIstamizer is a brilliant software great for those who dont want to buy vista and slow their computers. A word of advice before installing you may want to create a system restore point do this by : start>run>MSconfig>launch system restore>create system restore point.

Also I installed everything and removed the unwanted bits and bobs from my computer by deleting the unwanted files from my c: drive, where i installed it although some people may have second of third hard drives.

And dont worry its completely uninstallable.

9/10 made my computer look EXACTLY like vista perfection.

This software is great, easy to download, nice features and I love the sounds and the colors. Thanks a bunch.

Vista mizer est un logiciel super et fonctione sans problémes .Mais il faut supprimer le winflip .Pour l\'installer correctement , il faut le redemarrer 2 fois (1 fois lors de l\'installation et une 2éme fois lors du redemarrage ).EXCELLENT 5/5.
Mon ordinateur est un XP Home familiale, SP3 ,1024 mémoire , pentium 4 , 2.80ghz .

i used vistamizer.

This program is god....I had a bit of an issue with the extra apps at first, such as the styler and the clock (ended up just not installing the extra apps in the end) but honestly after installing vistamizer, my laptop runs all of its programs so much more smoother and yes...FASTER....(I have winxp home edition service pack 2)
So easy to both install and uninstall without leaving your comp a total confused mess.....
Definitely recommend this above all of those other supposed "Vista transformation" packages out there, or the individual stylers,but only if you're simply looking to upgrade the look and feel of your pc to that of vista without all of the real Vista's supposed.."issues"....

Excellent program 1 i would like to begin by thanking to the developer Mr. Hoefs.
I had an issue after installing the version 1.6.3, it would make some of my nVidia Control Panel menus disappear. I will now test this 2.5.0 version and post same feedback afterwards.
Finally I would like to say that I would be more than happy to make a donation to maintain the continuous development of this program, and if there are any doubts, no I'm not the author !.

I was skeptical before installing it after reading all the reviews. I decided to put it on my laptop first. Install went easy and had no issues. I like the look of Vista but can't stand the resources that are used to run it...this is a great option. VistaMizer does take a few resources and I don't can for the widgets an flip thing...just disable them and you're fine.
After system loads and settles down...it runs smooth. I'm happy with it...GREAT JOB!! XP Home 2002 SP3

For the price (FREE) this is an excellent program. It had a few bugs in it in the past, but what program including the REAL VISTA or XP didn\'t. Talking abou the Real VISTA, it sucks compared to this. When you put the Vistamizer extra App\'s in, forget about Glass and the side bar, but put in the Icons and etc in.

I loved the look of the vistamizer but for some reason, I couldn't get online until I uninstalled it.

Beware of XP Autoupdate. So yes I went for all the options including changing the boot up screen and everything. Next thing Windows Autoupdate kicks in and starts undoing some of the stuff done by Vistamizer. Downloading and installing 90 updates. So I waited....and waited...until eventually the updates had finished. I reinstalled Vistamizer again and again a little yellow shield appeared telling me that updates were available. I turned off Autoupdate and reset it to ask first before installing. I denied the update. All is well.

Yep Vistamizer is a nice piece of kit.

Vista Mizer is a wonderful software, I really can't live without it,, u download it and in 5min whole the appearance of computer change,, u just feel like u bought a new one,, it’s really wonderful,, I suggest everyone to start download it. Only one note for the developers of this software, keep working on it,, specially the appearance of (Start menu) it still doesn't look as same as the real Vista,, keep working on it,, thanks

does anyone notice the trend with AVG anti-virus?

90% of the time on reviews its avg users who claim something is a virus, no one else and AVG has the lowest detection rate of even the other 2 main free av's AntiVir and Avast.

so why is it the AVG ones always find something the others dont? its cause most of what they find arent actually viruses its something unknown. most good anti virus software flags unknown viruses as unknown or generic.

not avg, all things not in its virus database(which is smaller then AntiVir and Avast) is a virus to them. if they had a good virus database as well as a good whitelist they wouldnt have these probs.

lesson in all this is if u use an inferior product u will get burned because it will detect a lot more that arent viruses and fewer that are actual viruses.

This is a super effort causing fantastic effect. For a person using XP (not worked with vista GUI) However i find my graphic slowing down a bit. I have a PIV 1.8 Gig and 512 RAM and nvidia Graphic card.

it had a strange problem with start menu or glass2k i had to reinstall windows :(

Here is something weird. First. I had to go into safe mode to install it. Without that I kept getting error messages. Then I got it installed. Here is the weird thing: In WIn XP I had found out how to go into regedit and change an attribute in the CLSID folder and presto! I could rename my recycle bin. Did that in the Explore mode. But, now, with Vistamizer, the garbage bin is renamed to what I had earlier chosen, but the option to rename, is no longer there.
Here is what I had changed in Attributes:binary value from 40 01 00 20 to 70 01 00 20. It is still changed, but the rename option is clouded over.
Anyone with any ideas?

All I wanted was the Vista taskbar and visualtasktip thumbnails without slowing my machine down. Vistamizer fit the bill perfectly. I have what I want, my machine still runs crisply and I loved the option to switch all the other 'options' off.

Super! Latest version (2.5.1.0) seems to have fixed some "relocated DLL" errors! While the "true transparency" does not duplicate Vista's "blur" effect, it runs a whole lot faster on my 1.8Ghz laptop. I've used Vista, and I have upgraded to "Vistamized" XP!

It looks nice, but listen to the people that tell you not to install the optional crap. My AVG Anti-Virus detected a virus in one of the optional programs right after install.

i dont recommend the aero "glass" look in transformation packs. they dont work exactly like aero does in the way the actually slow down applications where as aero on vista doesnt. you need true transparency installed (1 of the optional softwares) to be able to get the glass effect but it also conflicts with other applications while u use it at times.

i also hate the fact when other transformation packs try and force the vista features on u such as the sidebar and such. most people (myself include) who have used vista, disable that sidebar and yet other vista packs try and force that feature on ppl anyways.

my recommendation is

1) use vistamizer if you want to ride xp until windows 7 is out

2) dont use any optional software on transformation packs

3) make sure you have the most current version of VistaMizer

i dont recommend the optional software because these products tend to be buggy or take a boatload of resources

and i recommend always keeping up to date because with microsoft wanting to force vista down our throats, there is always the possibility they use updates and such to try and kill the vista themes for xp. plus windows xp sp3 seems to ruin the old VistaMizer.

Excellent program but i want to change the explorer bar of the windows into transparent. Anyone know how to do?I've download a lot of this theme which can make the explorer bar transparent but i don't know how to install it. I've try many times but still can not. Anyone can help me?

has some bugs, is it able to be uninstalled?

1) its unfair to give neg ratings to vistamizer for optional applications not working because they arent made by the guy who created it and he didnt have it checked to begin with. installing the optional stuff is the person who decided to install what was optional.

2) who actually uses winflip? it takes longer to use it then to just switch tabs

3) anyone who doesnt want vista but wants the look of vista has no reason to bitch. bitching at something like windows vista transformation pack is justified because it tries to get u to install the additional by default. vistamizer is the best replication of vista, and if u want it to work exactly like vista in all ways then quit being cheap and buy vista.

Had Problems with USB reconition and Task manager would not come up when system would hang while locking up due to searching for drivers for USB thumb Drives. Would not sutt doun by momentary push of power button. Would not come back on when system went into standby. Other than that everything looks great but in my opinion still needs a little work.

It is very good. Only problem i face is, the taskbar does not look like vista and i get an error when i start winflip "Direct3d failed to initialize". I installed it on windows 2003 server

Wow ! This is Excellent ! Its Unlike any other Vista Theme Pack which screws up your system. The installation is smooth but make sure to select the basic installation. I Recommend Vistamizer highly for those who would like to turn their XP look to Vista. No Program crashes, No Hangs..VistaMizer works like a charm !! Kudos to the Author !

Its a very nice program. Vistamizer has only one problem which lies in the Apps box which is found when you first install. This box does not come check off by default and I advise leaving it uncheck. If you put in the Extra Apps, they tends to make the program run a little unstable. Causes your start button to jump around and half disappear, and may remove your C drive Icon. This is what happen to me. But I just remove the entire program and then reinstalled without the Extra App box being checked and was well.
As far as Mircosoft Vista, I have it on another computer, and believe me, the real Vista is a pain. Deletes and or refuses to run alot of programs that ran on or came with XP.... will not allow you to download music or video's....and makes you beg for permission to do anything... Big Brother Microsoft is watching and controlling you.....

Initially I was reluctant to try it, but I am glad I did..Installation was flawless. Unless I am dreaming, the system responds better, starts and shuts down cleaner. THANK YOU!.

Great program if you want the Vista look. Does not slow down computer or affect any programs. I loaded into work laptop XP Pro and no problems with VPN or mainframe access. I loaded the Vista Transformation Pack into home computer and like the VistaMizer better as the Trans Pack has 2 processs always running when you open the task manager and the taskbar looks more like Vistas.

One thing though, Lotus Notes v6.5 won't display properly (doesn't refresh screens) & thus makes it unusable good thing i can run iNotes.

Would appreciate it very much if a solution to this IBM Lotus Notes snag can be solved. Other than that works great on my two other non-Lotus Notes setups.

Grate software, dont slow down your computer. Nice graphic, but i warn you to use all the effects... just use basic effects :).

dam i look every where for a spy fee theme and this is the best and only i like it would be nice if it had a clock n stuff

Ths works very well, but I did hit a small snag. My boot screen turned blank after installing this. This wouldn't be a problem for someone who uses their own boot screens, of course.

It’s certainly nice that someone invested time in writing a free peace of software that allows for mimicking Vista’s GUI on XP. However, do not expect to see an accurate simulation. Title bar transparencies, for one, are not replicated. The address bar feature, which allows for Vista user to any level of the path by clicking the corresponding area in the address string, is also not retained.
