did not work for me.... used Malwarebytes Anti-Malware program and all seems to be fixed

Don't find anything in my PC! Useless!

I had multiple viruses on my computer. I ran AVG, Spybot, AdAware, CCleaner, and Advance Windows Care (all free programs). They cleaned off many bugs but I still couldn't turn on Auto Updates for Windows and Internet Explorer would be taken over by an unsolicited website after a 30 seconds or so. Web research indicated the Vundo virus. I came to this site to read the reviews and download the current VundoFix. Thank you William for suggesting Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware because VundoFix found 0 viruses and Malwarebytes' found multiple lines of Trojan.Vundo and Trojan.Vundo.H. VundoFix did nothing to help my problem, Malwarebytes' completed the process of cleaning my computer of malware. It's working fine now. Thank you Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware!

While I do honestly support the creater for this program, it has a specific purpose, which it does well enough, as long as there isn't a new variant. As I read through the comments I started rehashing my own experiences with Malware from the past decade....these bugs have come a long way! One thing is for sure, todays bugs are nastier than those 5 years ago, especially with the new morphing capabilities. You may think you have figured out what "bug" you have, but do you really know? Sometimes it's hard to know for sure, especially if you are a new comer to Malware. I offer this only as a precaution and extra measure of protection, if you have for certain Vundo, this tool works, but if you are uncertain, you might want to get Malwarebytes Anti-Malware program. It's free to use and less than $30 to get a full licence which gives you the bonus of active scanning. The free is great as it has no limitations for how many bugs can be found and eratecated. Best of luck to all of you in your bug hunts!

i have trojan.vundo a medium risk trojan which gets in by old versions of sun java so i think if you download sun java regularly and it might be gone- some tried and it worked and try vundofix or spyhunter or spybot.

I saw a vundo infection that is detected by VirusScan but cannot be cleaned (deleted). It hooks into winlogon.exe and creates a .dll in the c:windowssystem32 folder called ljJyVPjH.dll. Other .dlls get created but viruscan can delete those. Vundofix 7.0.6 doesn't detect it, and therefore doesn't clean it.

It hijacks the brower so it doesn't load.

Vundo needs to update its detection capabilities. My kids apparently got it from http://www.miniclip.com/games/en and http://edtech.kennesaw.edu/web/butfly.html

It slows the computer terribly. I booted into safemode w/ command prompt and renamed winlogon.exe. Booted into recovery mode and manually deleted the stubborn .dll. This helps but I'm not sure it cured the system.

It couldn't detect the Vundo trojen I'll keep looking.

I was disappointed in this because I have virtumonde on my computer(spybot found it but can't get rid of it) but it didn't even show up on the program. So I will continue to look for more products to get rid of this nasty Trojan.

If you watch the ratings of this remover, it had good ratings until a few months ago, then the ratings became bad

Probably virtumonde evolved further to evade this remover.

So right now it unfortunately does not work any more

spybot finds it, removes some stuff, but it always comes back

I will continue searching

The only tool that has detected Virtumonde for me is SpyBot. Trouble is it only removes some of the files (doen't delete the xxx.dll files). I've tried SpyHunter and Ad-aware but they didn't even find the virus.
Guess I'll keep looking......
I'm using a Lenovo X300 running Vista. Maybe the tools lately aren't suited to Vista??

The program was re-tested today and it is clean, so it's safe to download.

Program found one infected dll file but I had to kill vundofix process when threatfire alerted it as high risk

I have got explorer.exe restarting oftenly after download installing software downloaded from .torrent file . (My Nod32 showed that it has cleaned virtumonde from my system)

I tried to find the solution to fix this infection but hopeless.

Trash...Ran the program multiple times, it even searched through system32 where the virus seems to be residing and came up with nothing and as it came up with nothing avira came up with a number of vundo virus warnings...All the while vundofix was completely failing...The Best thing about this program is the name once you go beyond that it's worthless.

well it says it works....but after many reboots and unable to get control back of the desktop...it sucks

safe mode didnt work any better... ok im gonna have to look for other apps cuz this one dont work at all!

well I just tried it and it did not find the trojan, although i have been infected with it. McAfee did find it , but alas cannot remove it. Apparently they have now mutated it so that it installs on the system32 dll's Can you please update your program to find it there and remove it?

This program did not work for me. I know for a fact that I have something called WinVirusProtect, which is a fake anti-virus, or "Virtumonde". VundoFix did not detect it at all, so I do not recommend this program.

I am horribly IMPRESSED... I was absolutely FURIOUS with this trojan. I tried Mcaffe, Norton, Spysweeper.... Nothing, i repeat, NOTHING solved my problem... and to be honest I wass 100% sure this program wouldn't work either.. Well it did and my internet is back to being how it used to, im not getting pop ups.. get this program, im happy as hell i did lmao

I have used this application on several computers (more then 10) with the Virtumonde crap on it, and this tool has worked everytime (occasionally with some deleting files in Safe mode) Highly recommended to anyone with the virtumonde infection.

Norton did nothing
Spy Sweeper helped but did not fix everything
Spyware Doctor and Adaware did not help
Vundofix fixed my problem on the first try.
I paypaled them a little bit of money I would suggest if it fixes your problem you should do the right thing and throw them a buck or two. It was worth it for me this has been a week long headache it fixed in 10 mins.

I tried countless other programs including AVG Anti-Spyware, Spyware Doctor, Spybot Search & Destroy, Registry Mechanic, McAfee and many more but this program was the only one to completely remove this irritating virus/adware!

Thank God it's freeware...

I tried mcafee, norton and another vundo removal tool
all to no avail

be sure to use version 6.5.10

It works... Virtumond is a very hard virus to get rid of.... Has worked for me twice on two different computers..... Takes a little work.... Do a google on how to use it..... Previous opinon, did not know how to use this tool.........

Still have vundo bug after several attemps to fix with this application.
