I have v7.7 installed (after running the Update). I'm glad to see most of the problems with the 2009 version have been sorted. What they didn't make very clear was the 2009 version was a Beta release. The encryption is good, it's been updated to 256 bit. It seems faster and it keeps a backup of your original files, where the old version didn't.
There are more programs on offer in the free version.
It's also been made Windows Vista and 7 compatible. So far it's been running smoothly!
They say the Advanced version offers Lock Boot keys program for Vista and Windows 7, I like the idea of that, so I may go ahead and Upgrade.
All-in-all the program seems to be a lot more reliable. I am looking forward to getting the Advanced version and will post updates on this soon!

I initially purchased this program in 2007, and took it off because I had nothing but problems.
This morning I downloaded the new version and gave it a go.....the horrors started !
The rotten thing locked the computer.....the rotten icon in the task-bar would nor respond to any type of coercion, and it simply would not put the files into the program files...which meant that I had to take everything off my computer manually, luckily I had the forthought to keep a program killer open (experience from the last version).

Take my advice, if you see this program about....then run as quick as you can in the opposite direction...avoid it as if it has the plague.

There....that is my good deed done for today !..........don't ever say that I don't look out for you.

Purchased this to password protect IE, which it will but you have to manually relock it everytime.

They\'ve supposedly released an update that relocks it automatically, but that \"update\" is no where to be found. No response from their support on the matter either (going on 8 days now).

This program is NOT free and is NOT freeware. There are constant reminders to buy the program, plus they offer a discount. But if you go to the site you can see the the "discount" price is the same as the regular, everyday price. How could a person ever trust a program with their sensitive files, information and such if the company uses deceptive advertising practices?

The program seemed unstable, as well.

    I bought winguard pro 2006.
The key they sent me didn't work. After complaining, the one or two word response was anything but helpful. Eventually 5 days after paying I got the key.

Tried to "update" to winguard 2007 but the update didn't work. Nearly wrecked the version I paid for. I complained but got no answer.

Customer service and the update facility is terrible. I would stick with the free version or find another program. -don't pay for it.

This program sucks ass. I've installed and registered for the Premium Version. After that i encrypted a folder with JPEG files. I tryed to decrypt it but even if the program states that he decrypted the folder the files are still encrypted and renamed.
Should i suggest that clicking on Web Content Filter gives me a critical error and kills the prog.
My advice : Go ahead try the free app but don't expect much. Only the premium version had good options for you to use. But the Premium ...
