Best version of Winamp ever made! Possibly the best all-round audio player imho.

I still use today this old version of winamp because is the best compared to the new version and don't install ll the video/audio crap completely useless for who want listen only mp3s. Also it support plug-ins to decode more file formats, just put the dll in the plug-in dll directory. Best mp3 decoder, small, not invasive and easy to use ans manage.

Even a few years since the end of the 2.XX line of versions, this is still the best WinAMP ever made...

its light, low on the bloat, and its fast...Besides, most of the skins and plugins on the WinAMP homepage are terribly old and only work with version 2.XX of WinAMP...thats a plus :).

WinAMP 3 was a disaster, and WinAMP 5 is heading in the wrong direction with AOL at the helm (not to say WinAMP 5 is bad, just AOL is just leading it down the wrong path).
