The overall rating is only good because the program downloads files I don't want to. I always deselect the sample and nfo files but this program always downloads them.

I set it to work with FireFox and after I restarted it (FF) all settings was set back to default. Even the extensions' settings.

How can be people this stupid? How could I try a program that I want to use to add watermark to my pictures if the trial version adds a watermark to my pictures that I don't want to use?

This is still a poor program: it can't handle ac3 as output format, when you convert a file to mpeg2 format you can have only mp2 audio, when you convert to avi you can only choose mp3 or wav audio with 44.1 Khz frequency. And only in stereo mode. Instead of the stupid skins and vista compatibility the developers should make it able to handle ac3 as output and to copy the original sound without recompression and/or downsampling. Until that it does not worth its price even if it was free.

I tried to install this new version, but every time i wanted to start it, the program freezed, so I had to shut it down. The interface is the same stupid as in the earlier version and I don't believe there are any other improvements. I used to use this program a few years ago, but of the files I really wanted get there were only one or two sources, and the people who shared them sometimes had really slow connections, so I had to wait a lot to get anything. The admins kick you because you are blonde or you have blue eyes or just because they are depressed a bit, or any other reason without any logic. The users sometimes disconnect you (or themselves from the hub) when your download just started. There are TOO many rules to connect to a hub and there's no logic in the rules either. For one hub you have to share 50 MB of files and you must have three slots to upload and you can connect to five other hubs, on the other you have to share 50 GB, you must have five slots, but you can connect only to two other hubs and so on. Though it doesn't really matter, because mostly the same files are present on each hub: the bigger the hub is the more people share the same files. And most of the shared files are available on any other network that hasn't got these stupid limitations. The only good thing in this network is that the admins check the files so there are no fakes or viruses that ed2k is full of.

The program simply does not work. When I tried to copy open the video_ts folder on the demaged dvd it said that the disk is unavailable, though DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter and even badreader was able to acess it. When I chose the option to copy the entire disk to the hard drive, it failed to copy the files the three program above managed to process. Those programs are free and they worked much better than this one that you have to pay for. If those programs won't be able to recover your files than DDD won't be able even to start the recovering process. So don't waste your time and your money for this shareware crap.

This is the worst file sharing program I've ever used. It is slow, it takes a LOT of time the downloads to begin due to the long queues, it CAN'T save the sources found for any file and the search results are full of fake files: if you, for example, search for "bog", it will list everything: dog, log, fog, and a lot of other titles that don't even contain the word "bog". It has to many options the configure the colors used in the different windows but only a few to set the transfer speed. The development was cancelled a long time ago, though there would be a lot to do. The program often disconnects from the network, so if you managed to get to the beginning of a queue you will get to the end when reconnecting. The files added to the download queue can't be renamed only manually after exiting the program. In one word, in its current state, the program is a crap.

This is a great little program you can use instead of shareware Total Uninstall. Overall rating could be "Excellent" if it could make every step automatically just like that. I hope this feature will be added in the near feature.

I totally agree as well. This program is like any spyware/adware. I don't want my screen to be full of stupid popups. Remove not only this, but all the programs that creates popus or other kind of ads. Or create a crap section for them. What does the author think the program will be used for? If I have to many sparetime I will create popups to test my popup blocking apps? Or what? If it is so, he sould join a spammer team or something.

This is a great little program. Sometimes (after registry cleaning) the built-in policy editor of windows becomes unavailable or lets you to edit much less policies than normally. in this case this program helps you out. It could have a bit more features (policies to edit (network, system)), but it's still great.

Ad-aware was a very good program to prevent infection of spywares and ad-wares but it only WAS. Now, if you want real-time protection, you HAVE TO purchase the pro or plus version. Why? Why did they make it payware? The free version does not worth anything since it's NOT able to protect your system in real time. Now I'm about to change to an other program that is FREE and supports real-time protection.

This is not a toolbox. A real toolbox has much more features. I tried to open five or six AVI files with the trial version but I didn't manage to open any. The program said it has an error in AVIToolbox.pas (this is the program module in delphi). The convert to DVD feature requires a third party software from VSO (I suppose this is ConvertXtoDVD, which is another shareware program. I didn't try the burn to CD option, but we can suppose that it requires another third party (shareware) program. This is a crap since I couldn't do anything with it. VirtualDub is free and has a lot more features. It can not convert to dvd by default and can not burn cds, but the author never said it can. So if you want a REAL avi toolbox, use VirtualDub with YMPEG codec (unfortunately It's shareware) or AVIDemux. Both of them are free and has lot more features. And they really work.

Agree with moondoggy. The program simply does not work. It says that the output file can't be created. And when I removed it, it removed the XviD codec from my video codec list. Instead of creating stupid skins, the authors should make working programs.

The authors are right. This is one of the easiest to use software: it does not let you to change any settings. You can't set neither the audio nor the video the codec, just the bitrate. It also can be one of the fastest programs. I don't know, I haven't tried it yet. And I will not try it ever. But calling an app like this powerful is a JOKE. DVDlab Pro and VirtualDub are powerful. But this one? In a powerful video converting application you can choose audio and video codec and bitrate, you can configure the codecs advanced settings, you can crop and resize the video if you want, but first of all you can KEEP the original audio. A powerful app shows you the conversion process, the elapsed and/or the estimated time remaining. Once it might will be a good program. But the authors need to make a lot of changes to have the features described above.

I managed to find a cracked version so I could try this crap. Cause this is a crap. It can only create stereo mp3 audio - theoretically. In reality it's NOT able to create ANY audio. I got an error message every time I try to encode a movie with audio that says: "It's not possible to write audio". It can enhance the contrast and the brightness of the video, but makes it a bit blocky unless you have 16 or more hours to make a two-pass encoding with XviD codec, cause this is a very very slow program. As I said earlier VirtualDub with AVISynth filters is much better.

I didn't try this software yet but it has the on of most terrible GUIs ever. Who was the stupid animal who made it? This GUI is like writing with yellow letters on white paper: nearly unreadable. And there are dozens of programs with a GUI like this. TERRIBLE. Otherwise can be good.

This is a very stupid program. It makes possible to not seed what you have downloaded. If many people use this program some torrents can become dead in a very short time. Using this program is nearly the same like sharing incomplete files on the eMule or WinMX network, and has absolutely no sense. Instead of using this program keep seeding what you have downloaded for a long time. In this case you will not be banned from any site.

This program has one of the worst GUIs I've ever seen. Instead of supporting stupid skins authors should have develop the features that make sense: adjusting the colors and changing volume. None of the players listed on the site are able to do so.

It's not able to adjust brightness and contrast and has a very stupid GUI.

It would be a great program if it had a cleaner GUI like VirtualDub. It's a bit hard to configure the filters and the codecs and some of the features are not working yet.

Like in nero it's hard to create the menu for your DVD and you can't set the quality neither the video nor the audio. If you have a video splitted into three avi files it will create a DVD smaller in size than the source files was together.

It's a good program but it's not able to open avi files bigger then 2 GB and it's unable to recreate the index part as well. It can't even open a file of which the index is missing. VirtualDub can. If you want to fix the missing index, use that instead.

For me it simply doesn't worked. Every time I clicked on the audio tab in the conversion window it freezed. If the developer will spend some time with developing it can be a good program.

This is like any other audio editor. It knows no more and no less then the others. It creates the temp files in wave format so if you want to use it to increase the volume of the audio of any video file after extracting it from the video it will eat up a huge amount of disk space: for a 90 minutes long video the wave file can be about 1 GB. It's not faster then the other softwares and it does not support ac3 files. Just like the others. Even nero wave editor is unable to encode 6ch ac3, but it can at least decode the stereo.

The BEST pdf VIEWER. It does not have any other features than it needs. It can open any pdf documents and display them at nearly any zoom. If you don't want to edit or create new ones, this program is more than enough.

A demo version that can't encode the files is not a demo but a huge pack of sh*t. An AC3 encoder that isn't able to recode stereo sound to 6ch sound is a cr*p. In order to use this program you have to save your stereo files to two wav files, mix them for the center chanel and create the LFE chanel manually. This program is a complete waste of time. Use BeSweet instead.

One of the best p2p softwares out there. You can find nearly any film, music or program ever made, but if there's only a few sources it will take long to download them. I downloaded files already in a few hours (with hundreds of sources) and there are downloads I started many weeks ago (there were only two or three sources). The only thing is a bit wrong that it's hard to filter the fake files out and the eMule network is full of them. Although, it's not an error of the network but the users who share cr*p.

It's simply crashed when no other programs were running and no files were in use on the target drive.

Finished files can be cleaned automatically by eMule, you don't need another program for that. If it searches for new sources in every, let's say, 5 minutes, the search process will slow down your speed since it will use some extra brandwidth. And at last: winMX using a Queue system. If there are 5 people before you in the queue who wants to download an avi movie from the user you want to download an mp3 file you cannot do anything to get it until they finish downloading the movie. And if your connection gets lost for any reason, you're f*cked up. Conclusion: none of the programs from download-boosters worth downloading. By the way: you need a patch from WinMX group to make WinMX able to connect to any network again.
