Nice Paint program especially the multilayer support. However, there are many popular features are missing as a Paint Program, that is why I still use PhotoFiltre as JeRrYFaR does. Be aware PhotoFiltre doesn't support multilayer with its free version. You will have to buy PhotoFiltre Studo for such capability.

Meantime, I would recommend another free .NET application called Photobie, which provides many tools for digital photo finishing. Photobie supports multilayer, and its screen capture tools are by far the most complete and the easiest to use.

This is a very impressive freeware!

I have Paint.NET (another free .NET application) installed. But Photobie provides more features that are relavent to Digital Photo manipulation. I guess Paint.NET is trying to replace the Paint Shop or Photoshop as a professional Paint program (I suggest you to try Photofiltre) , but it has a long way to go. While Photobie takes different approach it is customized for ordinary users to handle their photos. I don't think you can expect all kinds of Photoshop painting tools in Photobie, but you can count on it's carefully picked painting tools to finish your Photo (I uses the smudge tool a lot). Photobie comes with a nice image browser with full screen slide show capability, and it provides even batch resize and rotate tools within its image browser. Isn't that nice!

I have to point out the Photobie's Screen Capture tools despite the fact that Photobie is primarily an image editor. This program has by far the best screen capture tools I ever encountered. It has a small notification icon on bottom right of your computer desktop. Simply right click on it, you will then have many options to perform all kinds of screen capture. It is reall y good since you don't have to switch from you current working application. It is very handy and works perfect. Furthermore, Photobie provides customizable screen capture hotkeys, which allow you to capture active window, screen with/without cursor. The autoscroll function doesn't work well before, but now it works great (more flexible than any other screen capture tools)

The only problem I have with Photobie is that it is slow for handling very large images. It works very well for medium and small sized images.

As Radukn point out, Keep an eye on it, It is becoming real good (but hopefully not commercial)

There is a feature list and tutorial at http://photobie.myfreeforum.org/ftopic38.php

Well, I have wrote a long review :) I wish it helps to know more about this little program since the description page doesn't say much.
