Although I find it painful to pay money, I am very happy with this piece of software. It finds trojans your antivirus will not find. It is worth to tauscan your machine once in a couple of month.

It is far more handy that the MS product, yet does not come with spyware (WGA).

It is a great free firewall. But if you want something with less compatibility problems, check out Sygate Personal.

KAV 6 adds a feature of System Settings Lock (Ad-Watch or Windows Defenders real-scan like). But the interface turnes relatively chaotic now. Moreover KAV 6 seriously (like Norton) slows up the system.
So it may be more clever to stick with KAV 5 for now.
