Thought RandySavage's review is subjective, then downloaded it and tried it.
What can I say, it is far from a complete software package. Don't know about 2.0 version which costs $5. free version 1.0 is obsolete.

Don't bother to download, there are many good active ones there:
GIMP, Photofiltre, Photobie, Paint.NET...

Very nice smooth image editor. The missing layer manipulation capabilty left out from the commerial version really puts too much limit on this free version. If I am rich enough, I may go get the commercial version.

Fortunately, I found the solution by combining Photobie with Photofiltre. The trick is to use Photobie Screencapture tool and layer manager to ....

Despite the strange GUI layout, this the best graphics freeware, you can do a lot with it as long as you want to spend time on it. It is must have for doing graphics on linux.

Meantime, on Windows, other freewares, Photofiltre, Photobie, Paint.NET are also very good. They have all kinds of different flavors. Why not having them all?

Not a bad gif animation tool. However, I prefer PSP with full image editing and animation features. You may even want to try some freeware to see whether they are sufficient for your needs before investing $$$ on this one.

Great graphics package. Can't believe such a small program even allows me to create nice gif animation in few steps. Now I can capture screens, do some finishing on them, and make a cool animation. Just that simple! What else do you expect for this little free software.

Don't forget to checkout its support forum for many detailed tutorials.
