My guess is that the earlier ratings were based on very early versions of Clipguru or were given by people expecting a "do everything" product.

I've been using it since version 1.4 and have experienced very few problems and each version has gotten better. It's features are excellent for a base clipboard manager, including the ability to save or not save images. It also supports multiple 'sets' of clipbioard data, allowing you to categorize your clips. I feel it's feature set is excellent.

If you're looking for a good, FREE, clipboard manager, you really ought to give this one a try.
