Within minutes of automatic downloading V5 and running the scan with the new version, svchost became inoperable, affecting other Windows services, almost all of which were stopped, then after 20 minutes the NT Authority systen shutdown the computer automatically. Further restarts were also shutdown, system restore was inoperable and since Windows could still re-boot the last known good config was not available. Fortunately Add/Remove was available and using DOS to prevent the shutdowns from happening, I was able to remove SD V5 from my system. Immediately my system sprang into life and browser and email services started up immediately after an inactive two day period. Presently Windows Explorer is not displaying pages 100%correctly, but other than that the computer is fine.

I have asked PC Tools to refund me the value of the balance of my two year license.
