For causintrouble69: You may need to completely uninstall/remove YM and Multi and then reinstall YM and the same version of Multi to see if that helps any. There have been issues coming from "overwriting" the Y!Multi Messenger.exe and it not "upgrading" to any other version. Try removing all YM and Multi and reinstalling.

Nope, no spyware or anything like that. It is basically the yahoomessenger.exe, from Yahoo itself, modified to not limit to one instance only. This site has also awarded it the 100% clean award as well. Run a network monitor like commview and you will see that the only traffic for it will be the normal traffic to and from yahoo servers.

I have actually updated the installer to not do this anymore, if you install the latest release and then want to uninstall it...just go to your Yahoo Messenger program files and delete the ymultimessenger application from there. I had no clue it did that until I saw the first comment and I do not check this page that often. It is fixed now though!
