This is good, but it ain't completely free, and Foobar2000 is much better, and it is free.

The fact is that even though this application might not have the greatest looking user interface ever, it still thoroughly smashes the competition to a sticky pulp with all its other features. WinAMP is a toy compared with this.

This is either equal to or better than Microsoft Office, which is good enough for me. You don't get any useless bloatware either, which is a bonus.

I don't like commercial-ware, especially when it used to be freeware.

Quite simply the best freeware tool for "shredding" files and wiping free space; probably just as good as any other commercial application available for the job too.

This is a very good firewall with all the features you could care to mention. My only gripe is that it has the tendency to offer you TOO MANY options with what to do with "this process" or "that connection attempt" in learning mode. Once you have everything set up how you want it, however, this becomes more of a non-issue. I still prefer to use Agnitum Outpost Firewall or Sygate Personal Firewall Pro, though.
