A quite ambition chat client. Bucket loads of features, but unfortunately some of them don't really work. By default, ICQ didn't work for me and it required some DLL file swapping to get it to function at all. File transfers still crash the program and no bug-fix has been forthcoming... Also, I've been noticing IM2's server hasn't been running a few times lately, which means that all of your settings cannot be accessed.

Basically, I am very eagerly awaiting the next version release in the hopes that it will iron out those bugs which I can't live with. With the bugs fixed, it will be leaps and bounds ahead of other chat clients. But until the bugs are sorted out I've switched to Gaim.

Nice little chat client. Had one or two problems using Yahoo on it though. It really is very customisable, letting you change all sorts of things to do with the main window. One feature which would be really good though is an MSN style notification when a message arrives. At the moment all you can do is have a popup window open, or have the system tray icon change. Yeah, I know. I'm fussy as all hell. :P

Actually, just figured out how to minimise to system tray. GUI score goes up to excellent, as does the overall rating. Definitely switching to Gaim from this point onwards!

Very nice program. I like being able to group multiple entries for a single person. Would be good if the Windows version could minimise the buddy list to the system tray notification area rather than having to keep it on the taskbar. Was annoying that it crashed as soon as I tried to run it, but if you delete the /Gaim/plugins/tcl.dll file it solves the problem.
