Hello,
As the President of VaultletSoft, I am quite pleased with the thoughtful, in-depth, and positive review that the VaultletSuite 2 Go 2.4.1 recently received from Softpedia's editor.
Overall, the Softpedia staff has done a fine job of pointing out what the VaultletSuite 2 Go does, what makes it unique, and where they think it needs further improvement. Along those lines, I'd like to respond to a couple of observations made in the review:
Concerning the capacity to simultaneously manage multiple messages within the VaultletMail interface, the reviewer hit the nail squarely on the head – this was far and away the single most requested feature in a survey we recently took of VaultletSuite 2 Go users. Expect to see this capacity implemented in the VaultletMail client when we release v2.5, which is currently in development.
Stay tuned for further announcements concerning the 2nd most requested feature coming in the Spring of 2008.
Concerning the reviewer's difficulty with deleting files stored on our server, the reviewer has most astutely uncovered a bit of counterintuitive GUI design. While it's entirely possible to empty the "Trash" folder on the server with one command, you need to click on the "Empty trash bin" menu item in the VaultletMail client's "VaultletMail" menu to do so. Version 2.4.3, which should be released on Friday, January 18th, remedies this oddity by allowing users to delete messages in the server's "Trash" folder one message at a time by clicking on the "Delete" button.
That said, I'd like to qualify the 4 star rating I gave the VaultletSuite 2 Go in the "Features" category: as a long time daily user of the VaultletSuite 2 Go, I've too have found the "one message at a time" GUI design a bit tiring at times. When the VaultletMail client is capable of multiple message select, I'll give it 5 stars.
There's nothing like a substantive 3rd party review of our software to confirm what I and our users have believed all along: that the VaultletSuite 2 Go is secure, easy to use, and completely free of spyware, adware and viruses.
Best regards to all,
Rick
