MyPhoneExplorer is an amazing program. It is extremely simple to use, and stable and reliable (in my experience uniquely so) , and it offers really useful and essential features that you'd expect Sony Ericsson to provide in their own software, like text message backup, that for some reason they don't. They don't even seem to be able to offer software that can reliably detect their own phones, let alone any useful features if/when you ever get it working.
MyPhoneExplorer allows you to backup your text messages, files and photos on your PC, and to synchronise your MS Outlook calendar, contacts and tasks with the organiser on your phone (and also your Thunderbird & Outlook Express address books). The only thing wrong with MyPhoneExplorer from my point of view is that it doesn't synchronise with Notes in MS Outlook. An absolutely brilliant piece of freeware on which I'm frighteningly dependent. It deserves a Softpedia 5/5 pick rating in my opinion - I mean, what's the competition? This is a unique program and it's very well implemented.
SonyEricsson should hire the developer of MyPhoneExplorer and make him head of their development team. He's far more use than the rest of them put together - and it's mainly due to MyPhoneExplorer that so many people like me are locked into using Sony Ericsson handsets. And no, I don't know him at all. :-) |
