With the net becoming more "infested" as time goes by, i now use two different virus scanners. AntiVir being one of them. i really like this scanner. it seem antiquated in terms of GUI and i cant seem to work out how to scan directories only, not the whole drive. Having said that the detection rate seems well above average for a free scanner. TOP MARKS. I heard a rumor you could run this scanner from a USB flash drive, and its true, at least for me. I have 2 computers at home. I just plug the 'AntiVir usb flash drive' in and it scans. I can even update AntiVir from the net from the usb drive. Well worth the download.

This product may be very good at what it does, but i found the user interface poor on eye candy/options. the firewall didnt part didnt work that well for me, so i disabled it and re-enabled my old firewall. scans quickly. just because this is a "office" edition of a product, it could still use a really good jazz up GUI wise. sits in the tray OK though.
