I work as a consultant helping customers to design their cctv systems.
I was looking for a software to help with it. And found a review of video cad on http://www.video-home-surveillance.com/software-reviews/cctv-design-tools

It was looking interesting so I downloaded the video cad from softpedia to give a try.

The idea behind the software is not bad, it has several useful functions, but the implementation is a little bit weak. Generaly I can agree with the review - the developer should work more on usability. Because the Videocad software is not a very user friendly one.

So finally I purchased a small software from JVSG - way cheaper - not a 300 bucks one - and can also calculate disk storage space.

But anyway the Videocad software is not too bad. Probably I would purchase it later if the CCTVCAD guys make the GUI more intuitive.

Allan, I don't see problems in 4 GB video archives. It is video.
