Fact that some have other then yours opinion on subject doesn't mean that they are "noobs", "idiots" etc. It just mean that form theirs perspective thighs look different. Well, this is a tricky one: This software can record single window or full screen, with sound or without. Pleas be aware that, it records only to WMV format, using only basic amount of colors (i bet ~256).

It won't be useful when you are trying to record a in-game movie, but it will be EXTRYMLY useful when you plan on recording "on screen actions" for tutorials or bug submissions. The output files are small (sometimes you will be amazed HOW SMALL) enabling you to send them in mail to your friends, or attach on various boards. For example 1min. full screen (1440x900) clip is only 1.5mb! This mean that recording app window for 2min can output in file less then 1mb. WOW!

It's based ("based" seems to be very polite expression thou) on Open Source (GPL) program called Camstudio .

AIMP is one of best WinAmp alternatives on market now.
It has all winamp futures without beeing a cpu/memory hog.

Additionally is capable of using winamp plugins, recording AUDIO STREAMS (to mp3 for example), CONVERING audio files, RIPPING CDs, basic wave RECORDING, KDE kaffeine alike transparent info bar and more :)

File is not hosted on aimp.ru because of bandwidth traffic generated by downloads (it's still free project and bandwidth costs $ ;) )

As to false AV detects, i myself submitted two AIMP files (they were in beta stage at that time, and files was aimp plugins) to Avira since Avira Antivir detected them as viruses. Both of those submissions where classified by Avira stuff as False Positives :)

Dear Sir, please do not treat my review of this program as a personal attack on you :)

I must admit thou that in version 0.9.5.2 volume bar is present by default. What a progress ;)

Anyway, i still don't recommend installing this app. Instead you could try AIMP2. I'm pretty sure you will fall in love :)

First of all: although protection level of this firewall is quite good, don't expect marvelous scores at firewall test sites such as Moustec Firewall Challenge:

Reason for this is simple: PC Tools Firewall is..... Firewall, not HIPS application (isn't that strange that HIPS application without any real firewall component such as ProSecurity is considered one of best firewalls? ;) ).

Reason to choose this app? Application come translated to many languages, has very intuitive user interface, possibility of enabling advanced futures for advanced users or working in simple mode when needed (your parents will love you for that: easy to use firewall in there language ;) ).

I advice that you enable expert mode when installing, and then enable all options in Settings → Filtering including code injection prevention, stealth mode etc. to get maximum protection.

IMO it's the one of the best (if not the best) firewalls on market. It's because it combine most impotent things in everyday firewall handling: easiness of use and protection. Don't get me wrong: Comodo or Online Armor are better firewalls in security aspect, but they are fail badly in their usability aspect, they often interferer with games, display 1000 of pop-up boxes asking you about things you shouldn't be asked (ex. "Application X is trying to modify {2343-3445i-nf84n92-wm48fu-43454v} registry key,, would you allow it ?")

Anyway... i recently tested all major firewalls on market (free ones), and cannot stop walking back to PC Tools Firewall. Combined with other PC Tools free product: Threatfire (behavioral antivirus) it provides you with security level needed.

IMO the BEST stream radio player around:

Very well designed GUI;
Easy to use;
Easy on resources;
Mp3 recording from stream on fly;
Customize file name using variables (track name, date);
Radio List sorted by genre/country/station always up-to-date;
Active support from forums.

ekhm... well.. nothing much to say about that player except : STAY AWAY!

Better then FlashGet, Best there is! Recomended!

I'm using FDM for over a year and never had any problems with it. This program is translated in many languages so probably to yours to. Besides that you get product with lots of useful futures.

One of them is "FDM Community" which let's you express your thoughts on particular download, rate it or even warn people from downloading it.
You can -of course- turn it off in Option or when installing it.

This has NOTHING to do with recording your every download! It's NOT 'Big Brother' and definitely NOT a Spywere. I suggest reading this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spyware before making such claims.

Be ELITE! Spend hours to customize your player! Add amazing futures like volume bar! Don't be like those 'lazy housewives' who thinks that main reason to have audio player is to play audio! Discover amazing world of time-consuming opportunities! And who needs skins anyway, they only make player look better. Discover all that or just forget it and install Winamp ;-]

I will try to be as serious as i can:

1) I just downloaded this program in order to combine too mpeg files (350 and 400 MB) into one. After 10min program stopped and windows reported that my empty 29Gb partition is...FULL!! I checked and that was true! In some amazing way this ekhm.. 'program' decided that best way to merge to MPEG CODED files is to generate lossless compresion,29GB of Size (or evan more since it stopped at 77% ) file...GREAT!

2) When Installing program installs additional codecs/programs. i don't like it.

There are way better programs that You can choose to merge video files. Don't bother with that one.

Program setup have FROZEN at the end of installation and i must kill the process to get rid of it.Program was UNABLE TO DE INSTALL itself,must do it manualy.Pc-Clean when launched DEMENTED CONNECTION to internet.When refused,the abnormal program termination error occurred and program exited back to my Windows XP.When finally launched,this cleaner detected my shareaza registry settings as ad ware (??) along with gtk libraries (used by GIMP and X-CHAT) and some setup program in temp folder (definitely not a spy ware or adwre.This detection was false and if i would clean those files something wrong would happen to my applications.

Program look nice and clean but Ad-aware looks that way to,and is way much functional.

There is no Virus inside this program.Tested with Avira AntiVir w/ newest viri databese.
I use this codecs for almost a year and i must say i havan't found any othere which colud comperd with this one.
Installer: While installing codecs,setup will atomaticly find any bed/corruped/missing codeces or registry entris from previous instalations and fix it.
Program is so rich in codecs taht will play almost enything which can be played ;)
Program comes with set of usefull tools like gspot who will trace how video and audio of a siingel file is decoded and where's the probelm
You can mannualy configure ech one of filters used in playback
You got Media Player Classic.Low on memory & CPU and much more adavnced then Windows MP.
I higly Recommend that codecs for you.

Good Firewall but GUI tends to hang on my Windows XP .Note that not firewall itself hangs but only GUI from wich you control firewall functions so your computer is still protected GUI automaticly is restarted.IMHO it's worth of trying and there is a possibility that this problem will not be present on your machine.
