Koepi XviD

Depending on the quality and compression methods, video files are found under and abundance of formats that require specialized codecs in order to properly run. Various codec packs can be found on the Internet, amongst which is Koepi XviD, a codec designed to decode XviD videos and make them playable on any machine and inside any player on the market.

XviD is a patented video coding technology able to compress and decompress MPEG-4 videos. More than often, it is confused with a video format or with a standalone application, when in fact, it presents the infrastructure and purpose of a codec.

These include tweaking the video brightness, post-processing preferences (e.g. film effects), flipping, compatibility rendering and aspect ratio.

You can also enable support for DivX, DX50 and MP4V formats, which means that Koepi XviD is able to decode these formats too and get them ready to be played.

In conclusion, this codec is worth your time. After installing it, you should be able to play any XviD-based movie or video clip in a player of your own choice. Even though most media players nowadays are come equipped with codecs that can render nearly any video, it does not make this one obsolete.
