The rain has come and with it the gloomy days. If you're not an emo, this kind of weather will probably put your enthusiasm to rest and will make you wanna sleep all day.

In this case, you kind of need a bit of color in your life. If you're not a kid to play with colorful pencils and TV just isn't quite the thing for you, maybe a game will do and Amazonia could be the best choice.

It's a puzzle, so it will be at least addictive; it's colorful and takes place in some tropical islands where peace and serenity will chase away your boredom. Of course what else could it be than a 3-match game? And there is more to it: the graphics and the music are just... great!

Why do I seem to like this game so much? Well because it's a really good one and the best work that could describe it is "soothing". If you have a headache this game could probably cure you and that's probably because of the game-play that has a moderate pace, so you can enjoy every little piece of the graphic part.

And now that we started talking about the game-play... Well, like I said, Amazonia is based on the simple and so well known match-3 principle. You swap and line up amulets. Doing so, other amulets will fall on your board. At every level you will have to perform a certain number of matches. Like this, the match meter on the right of your screen will eventually reach the highest point and so your level is completed.

But do not despair. The game-play is not that easily made, for you to become even more bored than you were at the beginning. With each level you play, you will have new bonuses and challenges that you must conquer.

At some point there will be parts of the playfield that are difficult to access and you will have three letters instead of amulets. Your mission is to make a match with the amulets that lay in the cells adjacent to these letters. If you manage to do this, the letters are released and will form a word. And finally, once all the letters are released, the level is completed. Congrats!

And now here are some power-ups and bonuses. The "chain amulets" are the same amulets you see during the game but that are linked with a chain. The bad part is that they cannot be swapped. To free the board from them, you have to line up two or more amulets of the same color next to the chained amulets making a match.

The burning amulets will come in handy when you will have to get rid of the ice. Ice is a big bummer that you will encounter in this game. It can start with a single frozen cell that will spread like a disease over the board, causing the amulets to be blocked. In order to use them you will have to make clusters of three or more amulets that will destroy the freezing field. In case you don't have a burning amulet, the only way to release the frozen tiles is to make matches of the amulets that are near the frozen ones.

Other bonuses that will appear in the game are Talismans and Medallions... and so many more, but that is a thing that each will discover by himself/herself.

This is the only part of the list that this game brings to the public... who basically will be pretty stuck in this game, especially because of the graphics that reveal magic kingdoms with lots of green, clean water, blue sky, sun in the sky and other landscapes that will make you forget about the gloomy weather outside.

Enjoy!
