The week is about to end and let another game take its place in the review section. This time it's something pretty different.

If you're bored already with puzzles or "zuma"-like games, here's something that will keep you busy. At least in the training area.

"Arvoch Conflict" is something that looks really good. I usually don't like that much space shooters, because they are poorly made and won't give you any competitive feeling and after shooting a few spaceships I get bored. Not to mention that the action of this games is usually in 2D, a thing that really doesn't give you the feeling of "space, final frontier" thingy.

But not this game. Arvoch Conflict is a game that takes place in a 3D world, more precisely in space and the graphics for this one really blow you away.

Sure it will load pretty hard if the computer you use is not that great, but otherwise you won't have any trouble. So, anyway, the story of the game goes something like this. Humankind made contact with the Vonari 100 years ago. The Vonari are an alien species. Of course, curious humans take their time to study this alien technology, hoping to stop the extraterrestrial threat. What came out of this was a new kind of spacecrafts and, of course, weapons.

But by all means, the Vonari won't remain in the same stage. They developed something else and that something else will change forever the face of the Earth.

Clearly your mission is simple... "Go kill Vonaris!" Well, sure... That was what I expected too and of course I skipped everything that had "TUTORIAL" written on. Don't make the same mistake. If you do you'll find out very soon that the game-play is not what you've expected... and all that because you have no idea how to move.

So first things first... the tutorial. Sure this is a very helpful thing, but it's damn long and boring. You have at least 10 steps to go and all of them are damn long. And another thing: you'll probably forget how to fly your ship by the time you start the second step of the tutorial.

But let's say you managed to go over the tutorial and you're still willing to play the game. Well, first of all you'll definitely enjoy the atmosphere. The 3D space and the music will really make you feel like you are flying a spaceship.

Of course the controls of the ship are pretty hard. You'll end up in no time switching between commands and probably start shooting your allies. That's another bugging thing. You never know which one is the enemy and which one is the ally.

But no matter how you look at the situation, Arvoch Conflict introduces new gameplay objectives to the traditional space combat theme. And that's because it builds defense networks with shield casters, rescuing stranded pilots, recovering lost technology, striking stations on the surface of planets and clearing mine fields. And these are just some of the new objectives in the game.

This game has a few features that others don't. It is a space shooter, a strategy game and a Sim. If you like just one of those genres, Advoch Conflict will definitely be to your liking.
