And here we are with another week-end ahead. It's summer and you should go out more, but if you're really the type who spends time indoors, the next game could keep you company.

For this week we go back in time and remember some old school classic, a very famous one actually: Super Mario Bros.

I don't think there is one gamer who could say he/she hasn't played the game or has never heard of it. Well, this week's game is something very similar to Super Mario Brothers.

It's called "Secret Maryo Chronicles" and it's one good arcade game, specially if you're bored with all the puzzles that you've got lately. Originally designed for Linux, the game made it to the Windows operational system too. The colors and the graphics of the game are very good. This time our Maryo looks like a cute little boy, not a mustache-fat guy, so that could make him more appealing.

We have the same 2D gaming, with the same colors and the same gameplay like the Mario Brothers have. You definitely recognize the turtles, the eating plants that come out of the tubes and the bricks that you have to hit to gain points and other stuff. Of course, these other stuff would be the mushrooms that made our hero stronger. In our case he goes from childhood to puberty. But beware: if he gets hurt he's going back to where he came from.

The game-play Maryo has 3 lives. We could think that's enough to finish one level. Well, think again. I don't know if everything is made for pros in this game, but the "monster delimitation" is a big issue.

Of course you jump around like crazy and run, but it will not take long until you bump into some monsters and lose your life. In one level you have two mushrooms that will make you stronger so my advice to you: get them both. You'll die soon enough. This problem makes the whole game-play pretty annoying. If at the beginning you could look over a few deaths, after you start the same levels a few times it will get on your nerves.

Another advice would be to take every point you could in one level. I am telling you this because a level can't be saved unless you have 3000 points. You'll probably enter the second levels with 2000 and you'll die in the first 5 minutes of the next level.

Here's a hint: when you finish a level you have two ways of entering the next one. The first one is through the tube and the second through the door. The door will take you directly into the next level. I say choose the tube. You'll have some extra points to collect there and that means more points for you... and that leads to being able to save your game play.

Try to reach the 3000 in the first levels, because if you die during the second one and your game isn't saved, you'll have to start all over again, from the top. That's time consuming and it's just simply annoying.

Otherwise the game is good, it will keep you busy for a while, so it's worth at least a few tries. Enjoy!
