What A Fun Toolbar

If you've spent hours online trying to find a piece of information and you've spent tons and tons of time wandering idly while you get absolutely nowhere, well, congratulations, you've officially joined the 99.9999% of people who have a job. The other .0001% is lying.

A-Toolbar has been a little blessing in disguise. It reminds me of Yahoo! Widgets in a retro Windows 95 sort of way. For users who like to have a lot of things at their disposal, this little toolbar will provide just that. It will provide you with lots and lots of senseless entertainment along with quick information accessibility.

So many toys

Along with RSS, updated stock quotes and currency converter, this program brings a lot of functionality in a very lite way. A-Toolbar has fifty entertaining and nifty tools that are neatly packed into this one program. Below you'll find a quick list of what's included for those of you who are interested.

Some general tools include a Metasearch, Desktop search, Web catalog, Latest news, Feed (RSS) reader, Spam remover, Google PageRank and Alexa Rank, Links manager, Applications manager, Language translator, Dictionary, Clipboard history, Personal Information Manager, Agenda with world clock, Reminder, Currency converter, Quotes (stock symbols), SMS, Password keeper, Password revealer, Weather forecast, Memory defragmenter, System information, Popup killer, Fill form, Horoscope, Biorhythm, Random Photo, Love calculator, Dating calculator, Games.

Aside from the general tools, A-Toolbar includes: network tools like Telnet SSH, Proxy, Ping, Trace, DNS lookup, Port scanner, Finger, WhoIs, IP2Geo, Sniffer, Server monitor.

You also get some nifty URL tools that include: Submit url, Url info, Link popularity, Position analysis, Url future PageRank, Url fetcher, Keyword density, Related links.

I think one of my favorite things that this toolbar has is its 'Random Photo' feature. It was the end of the day, the light had long gone and I was pretty much the last one out of the office when I decided to give the feature a try. I clicked on Random Photo and my mood skyrocketed. It showed a random picture of Al Bundy from "Married With Children" with his legs on the table, a remote in his hand, and a look of utter disgust with the World. Finally, I found someone who looked more miserable than I did. The 'Random Photo' uses the Google Engine to find the photos.

I had time to read my horoscope, check out some stock quotes, and compute whether or not I was compatible with Jessica Alba on my 'Love Calculator,' that's what I call being productive. Sadly, I was only 13% compatible with Jessica, who knows, maybe she'll still call, 13% isn't 0% so I still have a shot.

The Good

You're bound to find, use and enjoy yourself while you have this little buddy installed. It's easy to use and has good functionality.

The Bad

I won't need everything that this has to offer. I will never use all the fifty tools that I have available at my fingertips.

The Truth

This program is a congregation of practical, fun, and informational things that users can use throughout the day. You can be at home, at work, or at your friend's house. This tool is bound to entertain you, inform you and show you an overall good time no matter what you use it for.
