14 DAY TRIAL // Less than a decade ago, having only a standard antivirus program became insufficient to protect you against all the growing threats out in the wild like Trojans, Worms, Dialers, Hijackers, Spyware and Keyloggers. One solution against them would be to unplug your network cable and keep it that way, but the right choice for every one of us is to add a little extra protection to our computer.

The installation kit is 8MB in size and the setup process passes without problems. Once the program is started for the first time, you will find yourselves facing the Status area. Here you can enable or disable program components and find details about your license.
The trial version of Ewido Security Suite expires in 30 days but has all the features of the full one and can be registered by entering the license code after purchasing it from the Ewido Website.
The first thing to find out about this program is what can be done from the Scanner area. Well, before everything, there are five different scan modes: fast, registry, memory, custom and complete system scan. Here you can also change advanced scanning settings and schedule scan profiles.
The Resident Shield protects you against malicious software that tries to run on your computer, but can also remove tracking cookies automatically.
The Analysis area is the most powerful tool of this application, having five functions available. Here, you can check the opened processes, connections to the Internet, Autostart items, installed browser plugins and Layered Service Providers. Of course that some basic operations can also be performed with these, like terminating applications or connections and removing startup items or browser plugins.
Moving on, the Tools area has two items available: the Antispy and the Shredder.
The first one can change a lot of system settings concerning error reporting, services, Windows Media Player, Internet Explorer and more. The purpose of the Shredder should be well known to most people, and for those who haven't heard of such a thing, I will tell that this tool will make sure your deleted files are dead and gone.
Ewido Security Suite also features automatic updates, encrypted file quarantine, rules for ignoring threats during a scan and in the resident shield. There is also more to this program than what I have told you so far, and my advice is to check it out!

Ewido Security Suite is an easy to use and powerful tool that can help you combat Internet threats. It has a very detailed Help system, outstanding features and a very good price.
The Bad
While running the program it crashed once with no obvious reason, and the CPU time taken seems a bit high for my tastes.
