One of the (many) secrets of leading a balanced and successful life is to somehow manage to come up with a strict schedule and to really stick to it. On the other hand, you have to make sure that it is a realistic one, otherwise, you will never be able to accomplish all the tasks you set for yourself in due time - for example, try to estimate with as much precision as possible how long a certain meeting might last so that it doesn’t overlap with another appointment you want to schedule for the same day.

Also, if you know that remembering things is not among your strongest suits, you should consider setting up frequent alarms to notify you of upcoming events. Nevertheless, if all of the above seem out of reach for one reason or another, you might want to try FruitfulTime TaskManager, and see if it helps you get through a busy day easier.

One of the special features of this software is that it enables you to divide complex tasks into smaller ones, which you can then monitor and manage easier - and this can be achieved in an instant. The intuitive interface will help you split a very complex task into several others, then assigning a progress level for each and every one of them.

This way, you can constantly keep track of the status of all steps, knowing exactly what you need to focus on at a given moment. On that note, FruitfulTime TaskManager allows you to adjust the priority of each entry, so that your attention is drawn towards the ones with bright red background (meaning, to the urgent tasks that need to be solved ASAP).

In addition, you can add notes related to your assignments, so that you can immediately remember their specifics - insert not only plain text notes, but also pictures and web or file references; this way, you can save the URL of an interesting website, or specify the path of a file you are frequently using on your computer, and save the time you would normally spend manually searching for it. On the other hand, you can choose to save these notes in an external file or to print them (which is useful if you want to share them with others and you don’t have the time or patience to paste the content to a new file).

Besides adding brief comments to your tasks, FruitfulTime TaskManager also allows you to create a database with people that are working on certain projects. For instance, if you are the coordinator of a large group, making a list with all the persons involved in every task will come in handy, since you will be able to monitor them more efficiently, and praise or reprimand them accordingly.

However, FruitfulTime TaskManager is not all about managing ongoing projects. It also provides you with the possibility to set recurrent reminders before a certain deadline, but also before the starting date of a project – therefore, you can start to gather information and be properly prepared for when the launching date arrives. You can select the timeframe for the reminders from 5 minutes to 1 month, depending on the importance of each deadline.

Another key feature of FruitfulTime TaskManager is that it ensures password protection just as easily, i.e. simply pick a password and encrypt your valuable information. Nonetheless, make sure you don’t forget it during the evaluation period, since the producers do not offer password recovery unless you are a registered user.

To top it all off, you can even assign tags to each project to easily locate them at a later time. In other words, you can leave pen and paper aside, and step into the technology era where your projects are planned, developed and sorted on your PC in no time.

The Good

FruitfulTime TaskManager comes with numerous keyboard shortcuts that will help you manage all your tasks much quicker. Furthermore, after splitting your complex tasks into smaller ones, you can use one of the several search filters that help you easily locate a certain entry, using the most relevant criterion: tag, due date, priority, assigned person or progress level.

The Bad

On the downside, considering the fact that most of nowadays software come with several language packs or allow the user to change at least the interface language, it is unfortunate that FruitfulTime TaskManager does not offer this choice.

Also, speaking strictly for myself, I could not understand the utility of the Archive function, so I wanted to look it up in the Help section. Well, this is a good moment to mention that accessing the Help file will in fact open the homepage of the app, where you can only view the questions, because the content will be "coming soon."

The Truth

Featuring a well-organized interface with several specialized tabs, FruitfulTime TaskManager will provide you with the right tool in terms of project planning and organizing. However, the lack of a much needed Help file or of any localization leaves room for further improvement. You know what they say, nothing in this world is perfect - all you can do is use the 30-day trial period to see whether spending $29.99 on FruitfulTime TaskManager is a wise investment or not. We believe it is worth your time, so we grant it a four-star rating for the great task-splitting feature and the potential it shows signs of.
