It seems that, with MWC 2011 over, IT companies are now looking towards the other upcoming expo, CeBIT 2011 that is, some of then, like Hanvon in this instance, having already offered previews of new devices.

CeBIT is one of those international trade shows where IT companies from all around the world go to show off their newest and best products.

The event takes place in Hannover, Germany, between March 1 and 5, and companies set to attend have already been showing off some of their items.

For instance, Xtreamer unveiled its Ultra multimedia-centric mini PC (nettop), this being just one of the unveilings so far.

Apparently, Hanvon was in the mood for a similar maneuver, only it tried something much smaller, albeit quite feature-packed in itself.

What the outfit has in store for its customers is a certain e-book reader bearing the name of HPad A112, described as a 'Super multimedia e-Reader' by its maker.

Is is said to be capable of letting users do such things as “reading, browsing, playing, working anywhere and anytime.”

For those interested in the hardware, it is a 7-inch device based on an ARM11 processor with a frequency of 720 MHz.

2 GB of flash storage are included, as is a microSD card slot, which enables one to add a significant extra capacity (up to 32 GB).

Other specs include USB, mini HDMI, WiFi, Bluetooth, optional 3G and GPS, a rear-facing 3 megapixel webcam and, not in any way less importantly, a native resolution of 800 x 600 for the display.

Finally, capacitive or resistive touchscreen technology is present, along with the Android 2.2 operating system and a 3,300 mAh battery that lasts for up to 8 hours.

Once it finally starts selling, the Hanvon HPad will have a price of 399 Euro. Meanwhile, any and all information on it may be found here.
